First of all lets make this clear: i in no way support the views odf el presidente.
AoA I will respond to your original criticisms:
THe only thing it does is make things very very slightly easier for our soldiers - but only very slightly: : they are not even bombing the taliban front lines.
AOA said: I'm affraid your misinformed, Greame they have been bombing taliban front lines for a week.
Okay this is true, however they are not doing so intensively and there is a reason for this: they do not want to weaken the taliban front lines significantly, the only reason they did it was so the Northern Alliance wouldnt get even more upset with them.
I said:
The Us and britain are too scared to send in soldiers in any large number when these will get the job done alot better than any bombs.
AoA said:
A childish statement by you. Why risk ground forces at this time? I'm amazed how little value you place on allied lives, that you would squander them so cheaply.
Not at all: they are too scared, several British commanders have now come out and said that ground troops should have been deployed from day one and that in formation is very scarce now.
It is not about valuing allied lives. Its about gettting the afghan civilians on our side and valuing their lives, as well as actually getting intelligence on afghanistan (something the Us has now admitted it has very little of). Bombing afghanistan just shows the afghans that america is cruel and doesnt care about them. Sending troops could have shown some of the afghans who now hate the alliance what we are really trying to do.
I said
This is a real worry since it show how much they really do care for afghan civilians - sh1t all.

The allies go to redicuolous lengths to avoid civilian causualties.
You consider lengths gone to avoid civilian casulaties ridiculous???: you feel these civilians should be killed?: remember this, this is not an all out war such as the second world war where civilian casualties were part of the war. This is a major power (for what ever reason) attacking a country which has no means of responding (no terrorists attacks are not a response by the country) and furthermore which wants to set up a government after the war formed from these afghan civilians.
Apart from that, I disagree that the lengths are very grerat, yes we should expect civilian casualties but wiping out villages is just not on: especially when all the bomb that hit that vilage would have done is ddestoyed the house of a taliban official.
I said
Cluster bombs are just landmines dropped from the air, lots of civilians have been killed by normal bombs and on top of this very little aid is being dropped.
You said:
Who told you cluster bombs are being dropped? Who said civilians have been harmed? No one but our Taliban friends. Man, Goebbels used to love naieve people like you, dear boy.
This is plain funny: you acuse me of being naieve, who has said that clusteer bombs are being dropped? A US government official said this. Who said civilians have been harmed: well the taliban, asnd then they let in western journalists who showed us pictures of children (no sorry thats playing for sympathy) - people who have been harmed by bomb damage.
GOEBBELS USED TO LOVE NAIEVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU?

.
very funny - because it is uninformed people like you who do not question their state do that he used to love!, people like me who questioned what the state did are who he didnt like.
An d I hate the taliban as much as you do, and yes they lie, but they are not always lying.
I said
I realise that civilians must die in a war - Im not one of these lets not go to war ever people. What I do object to is civilians dying without reason: with the money going into this bombing so many food parcels could be dropped from the air - preferably with instructions in the languages spoken in afghanistan.
AoA said
This IS being done, more food than bombs is dropped every night! This might be the most convoluted and un-informed thread I have yet seen!
YES food is being dropped in, you are correct in saying more food is dropped than bombs however this is misleading: the cost of those bombs is far, far higher than the cost of food droppe every night. Food is being dropped, 10% of the Us target for a night is being dropped at the minute (great huh); the TARGET is only 14% of the food aid agencys reckon is needed to feed the refugees for a day.
You are the uniformed one AoA. (Im getting this information from the guardian newspaper by the way: the second largest broadsheet in the UK which is politically neuteral, its highly likely to be accurate
finally i said
I realise that no one is allowed to say this in the US but im in Britain so its okay - the president is an idiot and this great war against terrorism is one very huge, ill thought out shambles.
AoA said
We can say what we like, and your thoughts are neither acurate nor well thought out.
I apologise for saying people cant say what they like, that was a childish attack ill admit, i was just thinking of the journalist who got sacked for saying the bombing should be stopped, sorry.
My thoughts are both well thought out and accurate and they are now being echoed by those in the military (not the governments) of both the US and Britain
