[LH] George S. Patton

I think I'm just failing to recognize what I'm doing wrong (I have also been drinking).
Lay off the boos before you start modding. ;) :p Replace the whole atlas code with: (create the new folders for the button if you haven't)
Art/Interface/Buttons/Leaderheads/Patton.dds
Use DWOLF's individual one. And btw, in the atlas code the last two numbers are grid coordinates, its a whole panel of buttons.

Sorry about all of this guys, I am just not great with computers at all, I just love civilization (which means sometimes I play it when I get drunk), I've been playing it since I was 8 (Civ I), and I just can't kick the habit (the Civilization habit).

Thanks for your help though, I really appreciate you guys having the patience for me. DK I would love to see some of your other LHs though because the Patton one kicks ass, but take your time putting them up brother.

Thanks again everybody.

Anytime you need help you know where to ask. ;)

And thanks for the compliments, I have to accumulate all of my LH's back onto the computer from mods and stuff before I can upload them again, but I will soon. I've been busy with the American Revolution thing. (see sig)

I've already seen it, I'm the guy who called you out on the Capitol building in the background of Franklin. BTW if you're ever going to DC and want some guest passes to the Capitol building PM me.

BTW you could probably use that Franklin LH (with the capitol building) as the LH for John Adams or John Quincy, it kinda looks like them when they were presidents, kinda. Not for the Rev mod obviously, but for future reference.

I think he looks more like Franklin. ;)

And I've been down (I'm in northern Jersey) to DC a few years ago, nice city. I may be going down there again in the last week of August, dunno if I'm going into the capitol though. :p

John Adams is in Colonization.

I made a simple Patton Mod using the video tutorial a few weeks ago. I used a still photo for the leaderhead. It works but I wanted to take my modding to the next lvel and add my first 3D LH. I simply replaced my original (still photo)dds file with the file I downloaded here and crossed my fingers. It is just a blue screen with a shadowed side of a face where the LH should go. I am obviously doing something wrong and any help would be greatly appreciated. I have read all of the tutorials I could find on the matter and none seem to tell me what i am supposed to do.

I take it you looked at Wolfshanze's tutorial. It's been moved to the Tutorials section. That was the one that finally was the breakthrough for me. Until then I was downloading leaderheads and throwing them in every location I could think of to get them to work, and they never did. So I ended up creating DDS images of some of the better ones and just using those. It's very helpful when the creator does the XML work to go in the ArtDefinesLeaderhead file. The thing is making sure that the file naming sequence in the descriptions of the art in the ArtDefinesLeaderhead file take you exactly to the file where the leaderhead is. Good luck.

Yes and I replied to your post there. I understand that I must reveal the path for the Art in the xml artdefines. My problem is I don' know what files I am supposed to define. The download comes with 30+ files in the folder. I tries directing the whole folder and I know now that is not the way to do it. I know now that you only define 5 of the 30+ files. How you determine which files to define and why so many files are left out has me confused.
