i captured Babylon early on but after forcing a surrender i opted to liberate it due to poor location and already maxed a 3/2 cities. purchased horses and forgot until i saw the message the trade route was interrupted due to violence when i checked, the city was under siege by the olmecs
now, the city by that point was size 4 and had 2 defenders sets of spear and chariot plus 1 stack of 4 archers and the levies
olmecs had one stack of 2 axes and 2 javelins and a lonely mounted scout as reinforcement
the city never attempted to break the siege. i got to zero levies and was done
to me, something was off compared with the typical behavior of regular cities and independent ones
