At some point there was a suggestion to make golden awards which would go for records, like fastest won ever or largest cow ever. With being away from home and having nothing to do (I finished COTM10), I decided to go ahead and collect corresponding information. Here it goes:

GOTM
WackenOpenAir 230 Domination GOTM37
thefrenchzulu 150 Conquest GOTM11
Bremp 1180 Cultural 100k GOTM41
Bremp 920 Spaceship GOTM26
ADel 1515 Cultural 20k GOTM25
SirPleb 830 Diplomatic GOTM24
Bamspeedy 21734 2050 cow GOTM18

COTM
Bradleyfeanor -50 Domination COTM5
killerloop 70 Conquest COTM5
Dynamic 1190 Cultural 100k COTM10
Dynamic 1170 Spaceship COTM8
bed_head7 1620 Cultural 20k COTM5
DaveMcW 850 Diplomatic COTM2
kuningas 19212 2050 cow COTM4

Dumb question: What are the red numbers? Predator?

No, it corresponds to the best date among both GOTM and COTM.
As for difficulty, it is somewhat obvious from the data itselve that probably the easiest game was COTM5

Yeah this list is pretty meaningless over such a vast range of game types, and difficulties.

Edit:
Also some may not even be approachable in the future, especially now since C/GOTM are fairly consistent in presentation. A small map included in any of those results would skew certain victories out of range for a standard game.

There was nothing particularly favoring a good 20k date in COTM5 other than the difficulty level, and my game wouldn't have differently on Monarch, and not a whole lot differently on Emperor. Ivory was way off and there was no good nearby food bonus outside the capital that could be a worker pump to feed into the capital.

In terms of highest score, Cartouche Bee got 22380 in GOTM 08 and 21933 in GOTM 09 - although at least one of those used the worker dogpile exploit.

You might want to check-out the old results to see if there were any faster finishes as well: They are here.

I used only awards. In GOTM8 and GOTM9 there was no cow awards. The fastest finish was indeed in GOTM1, but it was not awarded.

True. Regent pangaea is obviously more suitable for fastest conquests. Therefore fastest won is not obviosly the best won. But any other awards have the same problem. What is more difficult to get a gold with 20K culture or to get 40th place and recieve an award for the fastest 20K?

Depends on situation. At higher levels, there is often little or no competition for fastest 20k, and beating the opponents and then putting all the culture in one city is more of a milked game with chosen victory condition of 20k.

If you look at Aeson's recent award winner and mine, his game was obviously better played. I originally even thought the 20k aspect was better. However, he admitted he hadn't gone all out for 20k, and after further reflection I think that had I played a pure 20k I could have beaten the date. The way he played his and I played mine were really very different if victory condition is ignored. The fact that the same medal was awarded doesn't really allow any real comparison of the games.

Earliest diplo ever (say) on its own doesn't mean much IMHO. If it were measured in terms of number turns relative to best Jason date then it would be more relevent perhaps? Of course I'm biased as that is how it is measured for SGOTM. :)

I'm sure that one day we will find a way to give everyone an award. Maybe we could have an award for most mediocre performance, and another for the most games played without getting an award? If ties all get the award, then eventually everyone will be award winners. :joke:

ADel 1180 Cultural 20k GOTM25

Adel had an excellent date in gotm25, but 1180 AD is impossible. I checked, it was 1515 AD.

Thanks, I messed up editing  and put Bremp's date twice, one time to incorect place.

I've added a similar table to the Pantheon, recording fastest victories since GOTM 17, when Jason scoring began.

O, that is cool and much better than my list. It looks like I am unable to keep up such a tiny list properly (I do not understand how you manage whole GOTM web site screwing so little), so :thanx: for relieving this responsibility from me.
But what about the most productive milking?

I screw up quite a lot, but once the code is working I can sit back and let it update itself.

Have a look at Mk II :mischief:

Actually, the results may provide some interesting fuel in the debate about whether high Jason scores can be achieved for VCs like 20k, space, diplo ...
