Linkin Park

I just got their new album "Reanimation" it has some very good songs like the remixes of 'points of authority' and ' crawling' but those other songs just kind of suck lol. maybe they'll grow on me.
what does neone else think?

I only buy real albums and rarely live albums, so I wouldn't know. But I do think Linkin Park rocks.

Linkin Park is okay, if you're driving and need something with heavy bass, or you just wanna pump yourself fulla energy.. but what I don't understand is kids who listen to it for its lyrical value, saying they can relate to it.

Linkin Park pretty much says "I have a general problem in my life".
"Oh boy, I have a problem too! These guys know me better than I know myself!"

I like Linkin Park and I think Hybrid Theory is one of the best rock albums made in the past few years, but there 2nd album just plain sucks.

Linkin Park is definently one of my fave bands. I didn't buy Reanimation because I heard it sucks balls. I mainly like Papercut, One Step Closer and Crawling from Hybrid Theory. I can't wait till they make an entirely new album with entirely new songs.

Eh....I really don't care....I don't hate them....but I don't really like them either. By comparison with a lot of most popular music (well....whats popular here....I don't know whats popular everywhere else) they are probably better than most. I know my cousin really like them though.

I get the joke but I didn't mean it that way...The question was what do you think of them? I dislike them but I don't mind people listening to it. I'm not one to go on a war against personnal taste. I listen to some bands (Bad Religion, NOFX,etc...) that make some of my friends scream but I like it so...

Hybrid theory was IMO one of the great alt rock albums of recent years. the pts of authority remix was an abomination, and from what i've hear there are 3 tracks on the new album that aren't complete crap (and this from a dedicated linkin park fan). So I'll leave the linkin park alone now.
And as for staind, i think they're awful. One hit song, then one other that was ok (outside), but then i got sick of them quickly enough, and now i hate them. This is even tho they're style of music is well within my taste boundaries. Their lyrics are terrible. Band needs work.

my fave atm is muse, a brit alt rock trio, and i reckon they sound great, but unfortunately not many of my friends agree

I agree with you!
Muse is great but certainly in this case it's a matter of taste: screaming guitars and a screaming lead-singer....I can understand why it gets on some peoples nerves.
