Linksys Router and Hosting/Voice Chat problems

I am running on a Linksys BEFSR41 Router with WinXP. I can join games, but I am unable to Host anything or able to voice chat. Can someone that has this router, and has gotten hosting and voice chat to work with 1.14f please post here with the steps they took to do it? I have seen multiple other threads mentioning opening ports and such, but have no idea how to accomplish that. Thanks.
