Slight change to his LUA.

yeah I assume canals will be balanced for China to cost around the same as ancient era/classic era districts as well? otherwise you would never build them before way later in game. I like the change, would have been nice if chinese builders could rush canals that are otherwise quite expensive. That way they could build canals early, but it would be like building a wonder which I think is both flavorful and balanced.

Looks like Quill will get the Nobel Peace Prize for being a warmonger. hehe.

Yeah it's strange you get 200 diplomatic favor for winning a military emergency against you. I know we all complained about the gold from thin air, but the diplomatic favor is strange too, especially when it results in you winning the Nobel Peace Prize. The joke in the comments is you win Nobel Peace Prize for being acting like Hitler.

It would be nice if a normal player like him was challenged at all on the highest level, but seems to be on his way to victory without breaking sweat.

TheSaxyGamer just started streaming on Youtube:

Interesting way he's playing Mali. He's just playing them like a generic civ. Campus was his 2nd district, and it's frustrating that he hasn't built a single builder yet. For some reason the graphical quality is poor. Maybe that's because I'm watching Youtube instead of Twitch.

Considering it scales with tech, they could be worth it to build within a small coastal city early. A larger city on a lake (now connected to the Ocean) would and could get a massive gold trade boost through water + canal.

Edit: Cyrus really hasn't changed as his surprise wars always received the lower "warmonger points" within the other system. They just updated how those are represented now.

It makes me wonder if there is a market for civ streaming with minimal commentary and letting the leader animations and whatever play out in full rather than speed racing and endless jabbering.
TwitchPlaysCiv6.

I sure hope they accounted for lower cost. The videos so far have already demonstrated that Canals are expensive and situational. If they are not cheaper by the virtue of being available earlier, then it’s honestly a pointless “buff” to China.

Well that is a neat buff for China. I'm not sure how useful that is if you can't rush them with military eng. charges (yet).

That ability is amazing, it means we can now change the District requirement tech to a different tech altogether without having to create a new district (I assume anyway), will do wonders for modding.

Carl is chilling in chat on GM's stream.

There's our white whale. It turns out it's rather underwhelming.

I'm curious if there is more since on the bottom-right... movement is changed: 1?

I'm just listening to his stream like a pod-cast since I've work to catch up with. So it was funny and took my focus away .

Yeah, well it's just that the ones that provide to adjacent (even if it's very low yield) just seem so much better.

At first I was thinking you could mine them, but of course I'm sure you can't with it being a wonder.
