Yeah, they're ideal for holy sites around them, but always feels like such poor yields. They really should boost them somehow based on what happens in the adjacent tiles too. So, for example, the Chocolate Hills received an extra +1 science per adjacent campus or something like that, that would give you at least a little something extra to want to build around them.
Looks like Quill will get the Nobel Peace Prize for being a warmonger. hehe.
Yeah it's strange you get 200 diplomatic favor for winning a military emergency against you. I know we all complained about the gold from thin air, but the diplomatic favor is strange too, especially when it results in you winning the Nobel Peace Prize. The joke in the comments is you win Nobel Peace Prize for being acting like Hitler.
Shouldn't matter as I saw it on a screenshot listing all abilities and I don't think they change based on speed.
I agree that Australia needed a nerf but I think the 10 turn production boost for being a war victim is the worst offender regarding fairness as it 1. encourages Australia to be a massive douche and 2. makes them very hard to attack/conquer/punish for forward settling. This is the reason they're disliked I multiplayer. I'd prefer to see the liberation boost re-buffed to 15 turns and the victim boost reduced to 5.
Add to that the fact that the AI isn't conquering as much CS now and you have a considerably weaker Australia, since it's harder to keep a streak of liberations and just keep that 100% production going strong.. It still one of the strongest Civs though..
Asked in Normul8or"s chat @ Carl (from Firaxis) if Professional Army (50% Discount to upgrading units) policy card discounts Strat. resources as well as gold or just gold.
Carl responded that it discounts both gold and resource costs for unit upgrades.
