Ljolsafar, Fyrdwell and deer

I'd like to see Deer spawn in grassland forests.
No need to worry about needing the tile surrounded by other forest tiles or anything; just give it a small chance of spawning in forest, it will naturally be more likely to occur in large connected forests tiles than a single lone forest tile.

This brought sth to my mind. IIRC, in Civ 1 deer could appear in a tile that had no ressource whatsoever when a forest spawned there. So, is it possible to make deer be present in a tile but require a forest to actually bring the yields and make it 'harvestable'?

If so, the problem would be solved as soon as you have a couple of Priests of Leaves running around casting bloom without giving to much of a boost in the very early game.

well, that's not really needed I guess. I'm pretty sure that you could use python to create something that gives a %chance to add deer to a tile when a new forest spawns in it. problem is I don't know python, but some proficient coders might like the idea :)

And I'm really glad that the idea is being discussed on #erebus right now. :) The fyrdwell thingy has been bugging me since long.
 
glad I was the one to bring it up then. :D although I still think that it would be nice to have a distinction between pigs and boars as well, for boar-riders, but that's not as needed as deer were I guess. still, would be kewl.
