LK46

1500 AD (0): War is coming :hammer: A few stock exchanges will complete next turn and the military contruction will begin. Look to take 3 Southern English cities first then hit the north. Drop research to 50% Steel still in 3 turns.

1505 AD (1): Rheims builds stock exchange starts cav. Avignon builds stock starts Cav. Poitiers, hospital starts galleon. New Orleans duct starts bank. We lose our Babylonian incence. AT to
the Ottomans for 134 gpt, 340 gold. AT to Babylon for incence 12gpt and 14 gold. AT to Russia for 20gpt and 30 gold. Raze Bristol in the south, capture another worker. Raze Manchester losing 1 cav, for another worker. Capture Leicester a size 2 city. 2 more workers are captured out in the open. Capture Gloucester at size 2. Capture another worker outside of Brighton and reveals a MDI protecting the city. Rush a couple settler to replace some of the northern cities. Raze Brighton for 3 workers. Raze Leeds at the choke point at size 5, losing a vet cav to a spear. 2
more workers. Next turn to move on London. Change Toulouse from colosseum to Cav.

1510 AD (2): Babylon and Russia sign a MPP. Watch the English cav throw themselves at our infantry we do lose 2 infantry however. A couple cav complete more on the way, stock exchanges complete start cavs or infantry. 2 new settler for new cities to the north. First battle in the North give a great Leader Napoleaon sent home to form an army. Found New Rouen on an old English site. Research to 40% steel next turn +606 gold. Wounded Cavs are recovering and will move on London Soon.

1515 AD (3): Learn steel start combustion. Get the Wall street pop up. start on more cavs. Lost a few cavs on a hill to English counters with infantry. Will need more cavs and artillery.

Found New Grenoble on the choke, start temple. Get an army victory and secure the hill in English territory.

1520 AD (4): English send many cavs to there deat at New Grenoble but also send a few infantry that will be taken care of. Combustion is due in 5 turns at 80% and +87 gold. Kill 3 infantry
and a cav and get another leader and Rush Wall street in Paris.

1525 AD (5): Paris completed Wall street start infantry. England only 3 three cavs at our stack they must be spent :D. Lyons artillery start more. Rheims cav start cav. Tours Factory start settler. Avignon infantry -- start more. Besancon factory - artillery. :( - :smoke: Should've razed them all a size 2 city flipped to the english. Taking a lone infantry. Re-Capture and this time Raze Gloucester. Need to bring more artillery to the front before hitting York and lOndon. Sell Electronics to Russia for 124gpt, 160 gold and WM. Electronics to Babylon for 32gpt,50 gold. Electronics to Ottomans for 62 gpt,12 gold. Cumbustion in 3 turns at 100 %, going full ahead to get tanks.

1530 aD (6): More units. New Grenoble completes cash rushed temple start library. Tarentum riots due to WW. Change to marketplace will rush it next turn. Cav can't crack the infantry even after artillery hits bring york to size 6. Lose 2 cavs and decide not to waste any more. We need Tanks soon. Change cavs being built to artillery. Reduce Research to 90%, combustion in 2 with +220 gold.

1535 AD (7): Add 5 new artillery to the stack. Found New Dijon on the old Gloucester site. Move more units to the north will bomb London next turn.

1540 AD (8): Build more units, artillery hit London and take the barracks and 1 pop point :mad: Move 5 more to the stack. We need tanks. Combustion comes in start Mass production.

1545 AD (9): Knock London to 10 take out the market, temple and library. Russia, Babs and Ottomans picked up Refining and Espoinage.

1550 AD (10): More artillery and infantry. Toulouse riots as it grew. Only Toulouse riots but others will when they grow. Bomb London to size 8 and wound 4 infantry. Make no moves on London yet. Leave that up to the next leader. Lizzy will talk peace and giveup her 4 workers or Espionage. I don't know where Cathy is getting her money but she will give 116gpt and Espionage for steel. I didn't make the trade. Babylon will give up 87gpt. Ottomans and vikes are broke.

Preturn: We're well ahead on tech so I'll keep steel...we don't need
the money and I'd like to be first to tanks by a wide margin. England
has three widely spread rubber sources so pillaging will be difficult.
We likely will face Infantry the rest of the way. I rush a settler to
take the spot vacated to our South (former English city that Hotrod
obviously didn't like:))

IT As with my last reign, the first turn we lose silks and dyes. Most
all of our world ready to riot with the lost lux (the Babs wanted
three luxes plus 1000g to reup). Scroll ahead fixed the problem and
only Paris riots. I didn't get a chance to see what lux we might
pick up from England so I didn't want to give that much away to Babs.

(1)1555AD Damn, a look around England shows we will have to import
the lost luxes. However, not all from one source. Silks for gems
and 650g from Russia. Scandinavia is being ridiculous. Spices for
Gems and 1000g "close" to a deal. Forget it. Dyes for Wines plus
950g from Otto. Probably cost the same for the two luxes, but the
payments are split. Artillery makes London a town. Our Cav army
takes out some London Inf but then dies against an incredible
infantry unit. Three other cav clean up London and it's ours. It's
down to size one so I keep it.

IT Two regular cav attempt to get London back to no avail.

(2)1560AD War weariness near 35%. We can probably withstand one
more jump before peace.

IT Five cav and and Inf take another stab at London, 3 die, 3 retreat.
4 more come off a boat near London...we're attacking their mainland
and they have main attack units on a boat! Silly AI. We get Mass
Production, set our sights on Tanks in 4 at +189gpt.

(3)1565AD And here we have the problem with cav vs inf. York
bombarded to size one. No terrain defense bonuses. No walls.
A CONSCRIPT Inf takes out two cav??? The next four cav do the job
without a scratch.

IT War weariness goes to 50%. I'd like another English city so I'll
use the lux slider for a couple of turns. We get the Heroic Epic.

(5)1575AD 10% Lux buys most of our entertainers back. We probably
have two turns of war left and I want Hastings...and wouldn't you
know it...tanks in 2. Oh well.

(6)1580AD Bombarding Hastings...One conscript
Inf and after that...Spears! Oh my. We must do everything we can
to finish the English. Why let them off the hook now.

IT Tanks are in!

(7)1585AD Hastings is ours with ease. That was a size 12 core city
with two defenders?!? I rush a few settlers in outlying towns. We're
ready now for Newcastle next turn (brown ale anyone?).

(8)1590AD Newcastle is ours...and a great leader joins us! Will go
for a tank army right away I think.

IT Babylon and Scandinavia sign MPP.

(9)1595AD Birmingham and Warwick next turn.

IT How interesting! Russia lands four units next to one of our brand
new English cities...not much in the way of units though (warrior,
longbow, cossack and sword:)).

(10)1600AD Birmingham and Warwick fall as expected. There really is
not much resistance left in England. However, the Russian twist may
mess us up. Lee, I left plenty of units still movable after taking
the two English cities...your choice on those guys. It does not appear
that war weariness has increased this turn. We still can get a lux
from Scandinavia. I don't know. I think we can cremate the English
now but it's not up to me:) Have fun.

Oops, one more thing (Sirian credit), don't forget to take the Russian
town on our southern border if we declare.

three English cities. London and Hastings are obvious. The other is
to the North. London and Hastings were size one when taken, the other
size two. Possible flip risk still.

Still more:) If we declare on Russia we lose a lux which may kill our English effort (of course, they may declare on us with the same result).
 
1600 AD (pre-turn) - I can't figure out what has and hasn't moved. I really don't like getting a half moved turn as it is to confusing.

One thing that is hurting with WW is the lack of Police Stations. These will be high my turn. We have a decent number of cities with medium corruption, so the corruption fighting will be a nice bonus.
(AI) - Exactly was Mystery13 feared happens, as Russia declares war on us. The loss of silks is going to be brutal, as the cities were already in barely happy mode.

1605 AD - We need to get luxuries now. Combustion to the Ottomans gets us Silks, Radio, Espionage, wm and $418.
I ship gems to the Ottomans so that they declare war on Russia.
I ship horses :crazyeye: to the Vikings so that they declare war on Russia.
Babylon is simply a jerk.
I ship Combustion to the Vikings for Spices, $17/turn and $20. OK, we can fight for a while now.

Narborne is all but useless for corruption, so I move all those workers away from the city to help our cities with some productivity.
(AI) Babylon declares war on the Ottomans and the Russians
Scandinavia declares war on the Ottomans.

1610 AD - Well Russia HAD a city on our continent, but Kursk has been razed to the ground.
We get to raze size 10 Oxford - including the captures we get 11 more workers!

1615 AD - Well Dover is size 1 so we capture it, but we still find 3 workers inside. :D
New Bayonne and New Starsbourg are formed.

1620 AD - Well our artillery was to people kill happy so we capture size one Nottingham. However, we still find 5 workers inside. :D

We find an elite cavalry to attack Reading with a spear, and we raze the city and get leader Charlemagne. I don't think getting the UN will be a problem.
Richmond is also razed.

1625 AD - New Brest and New Bordeaux are formed.
Liverpool is razed.

1630 AD - Canterbury are Coventry are razed.
(AI) - England and Babylon ally vs. Ottomans - this really is meaningless.


1635 AD - Norwich is captured and the Glorious England are no more. [dance]

1640 AD to 1650 AD - Work on the final infrastructure (airports, coliseum, police stations, commercial docks, etc.)


Summary: The leader is for the UN!

It is time to start building toward a cross-continent invasion. :)

Lee, I wouldn't normally have left you units to move, but I wanted to give you the option of declaring on Russia so I left the offensive units next to the Russian units and a couple on the English border. I should have been more clear that those were the only movable offensive units.

Sorry, I'm a bit tired so the report is a bit short. We are ready for war again!

Preturn, I notice lots of Infrastructure completes next turn, allowing me to switch to transports. I'd like to roll with 40 tanks and 40 Arty so we'll need 10 transports.

First turn: moving all usable troops to New Brest. There is the shortest distance to Russia. Would like to land on the mountain next to Alesund.

IT I reup the wines deal with Otto. It's expensive, as I have to throw in a resource and 600 gold. I decide to throw in Saltpeter as that has little effect on us now. Also, the Russians want peace but have nothing to give. Since we do not have troops on their land, war weariness has subsided. I say we remain at war.

Middle turns: just building and moving troops to previously stated location. We do get the UN in Paris (hahaha) in 1670.

A diplo check in 1680 shows we still have monopoly on tanks and planes.

Late turns: Time to go. We have 40 tanks, 33 Arty, 10 Transports and lots of Infantry and other units. I've been building up the Navy...at least half a dozen destroyers and a few battleships accompany the transports across. Next leader gets to land them. There is one settler aboard with the initial landing force.
When we get there, we find the Vikes have been softening them up!! Thanks guys.

1700 AD (0): Behold the see of pink :)! Our navy is just about to arrive and let the assult begin. Drop research to 40%, still get ecology in 2 with +538gpt. 2 lux deals will be up this next turn. Successfully plant a spy in Russia for 120 gold.

1705 AD (1): As things are built start on airports. Don't want to waste or precious workers on Airfields. We lose our silks and spices as expected and I don't renew yet we don't need them now. Ecology next turn. Move out another tranport full of artillery. Place 2 settler to claim more tiles on next turn. Land all the units in Mystery's transports.

1710 AD (2): We learn ecology start synthetic fibers, due in 7 turns at 70% +29gpt. Trade Osman iron for spices straight up will have russian silks by next turn. Using 1 tank capture Alesund and rush the airport for 680 gold. Sign ROP with vikes to hit the next Russian city. Found Rhiems 2. Raze Astrakhan and found Marseilles 2 to claim silks and rush walls for 120 gold. Will take Tbilsi and Dnepropetrovsk.

1715 AD (3): Load up 8 settlers to head toward Russia to replace any city that may be razed :devil2:. Capture Dneporpetrovsk and keep it and Magellens Voyage. Capture Tblisi but it is close to Moscow so I raze it. Will fill the gap in a few turns after the settlers arrive. Forming up stack to hit Moscow in 2 more turns.

1720 AD (4): Watch a Cossack kill 2 wounded tanks. Found Chartes 2 on the Tblisi ruins. Attack Malikop and get a great leader. Raze Mailkop. Move another settler up to fill in next turn.

1725 AD (5): Babylon is demanding Rubber !! Take a hike. Hammi Declares War :lol: Sign a ROP with Ottomans. Found Avignon 2. Capture Kish, Kharov is Razed. Grozny is Caputured. Ankara is caputured. Assult on Moscow kill 4 infantry wound 2 others but fail to capture the city send in reinforcements. Reinforcements arrive just in time to capture Yakutsk. Raze the Bab city of Hareid. Found Besancon 2 in its ruins.

1730 AD (6): Russia and Ottomans make peace. Besancon2 is razed by a Babylon Cav :(. Moscow is take and then razed along with Bachs. Besancon 2 is brought back from the dead to take its place. Moving a few units. Continue to send tanks via the air. Plant a spy in Babylon for 105 gold. Russia is down to 50 infantry and doesn't know tanks yet. Babs have 10 cavs and 38 infantry. Up research to get MA's in 2 turns -171gpt.

1735 AD (7): Kish falls to a combination of attacks from 4 bab cavs and a cossack. Recapture Kish with a few tanks. Syn.Fibers next turn. Most tanks are resting and will be ready for upgrading next turn.

1740 AD (8): Survive the counters. We learn Synthetic Fibers start on Rocketry. Just realized we need Rockets to find the darn alumninum [pimp]. Moving into position to bomb a couple more cities. Rockets in 6 turns +51gpt. Continue to airlift tanks.

1745 AD (9): 3 super cavs capture gozny killing 2 infantry. Raze Sverdlovsk. Raze Vladivostok only hater killing 3 infantry and 4 Cossaks. Polution cleanup. Ottomans sipahi are in my way near the airport. Continue bombing St.Petersburg and Eridu. Recapture Gozny.

1750 AD (10): Bombin at StP and Eridu continues attack Eridu but fail to take the city. Capture radar tower at St.Pete. Rockets are due in for at 70%. WW has started but no lux taxes yet.

I think that once MA's come on Russian and Babylon should fall. And we should be close to Domination. You and mystery may be able to complete it if you both play 10-15 turns each.

This game actually took longer than LK45.
