LK46, Monarch, 1.21 patch, lazy France variant

I am out today but can try to play and post before I leave tonight. I will advise if I can get it done early enough. If not I will have to take a skip.

Preturn, I'm surprised by the aggressive AI settling (both England
and Russia). Jack must be right about the resource thing. Since
we only have 15 Cav we are pretty much stuck until tanks. I'd
really hate to waste the production on units that can't upgrade at
this stage of the game. So, infrastructure and technology will be
my main goals.

IT We lose Incense right away (I hate first turn deals ending because
I don't know the happiness of our nation yet). They want Furs, Wines
and Electricity to reup. I can't imagine that's a good idea for us
so I tell them to pound sand...on the other hand, they will give us
Incense and 24gpt if we offer first...no, we want to broker Electricity
first to everyone so I wait. We get Sci Meth, and I switch to
Replaceable Parts for now. We lose WLTKD in many towns, but no one
revolts.

(1)1405AD I swap Orleans to TOE, due in 6. I move science to 100%
to get Rep Parts in 5, then swap to Atomic Theory for Hoover Run.
Amiens swapped to Palace, Paris to Suffrage. Worked out a bit better
for the tech.

Tech trading, Electricity to Russia for Communism and 17gpt.
Trade to Bab still open, Electricity for Incense and 24gpt.
Vikings will give 20 gold!!! They have spices, but want wines, horses
and communism for them. Yikes. Forget these guys. Also, they've
started Universal Suffrage. Ottomans can't do anything. England will
give 40gpt. I'll take it. Knock down their money and we won't attack
till tanks anyway.

(2)1410AD Not much going on for a change. I swap a few barracks to
courthouses in totally corrupt cities. Maybe we can pull one or two
more shields out of these places (on a side note, Washington D.C. is
our capital, but we get plenty of production in the Silicon Valley...
I still believe that corruption for Rep and Demo are still way too
high).

(3)1415AD zzzz...

IT England dials us up for a World Map trade.

(4)1420AD zzzz...

(5)1425AD more zzzz...

IT Rep Parts comes in...we switch to Atomic Theory and set science to
zero for a one turn income of 1100! TOE due next turn. We lose silks
and dyes, though I'm not sure that matters since we got incense and
spices a few turns back. Nope, all cities ok.

(6)1430AD We upgrade 19 Rifles to Infantry. Will have to play swap'em
with the rest.

IT We get TOE, and with it Atomic Theory and Electronics. Set to
Sanitation in 4 at +257gpt. I should think that we want hospitals
now in the core.

(7)1435AD Lots of worker stuff but no major actions. Really only
Russia can begin to pay for Sci Method so we'll hold onto our tech
lead for awhile.

(8)1440AD much work around the first and second ring cities in
preparation for hospitals. Still a lot of forest chopping to do around
the wonder cities.

IT We plant some trees in front of our palace.

(9)1445AD zzzz...

(10)1450AD One Infantry on goto to New Tours to replace the Muskateer.
Hoover Dam in 5, Suffrage next turn.

I need to be skipped again. I hope it isn't for too long, but I landed some large contracts at work and will not have time to eat or sleep let alone play. Please put me on th injured reserve list. :(

Well Lee, I guess we're down to 3 for a few days. Maybe we can roll through a couple of turns each and get this game moving.

1450 AD (pre-turn) - I continue the upgrade of the of date units.
No wars will begin during my turn as outstanding deals with everyone including several gpt payments.

The lack of workers does show up when I see all the cities using mountains without mines

Scientific Method and wines goes to the Ottoman for Corporation. Nobody else can offer enough in trade.
(I) - We have plenty of cash for rushes if needed, so I start on refining at 100% due in 5 with a positive cash flow.
We get Universal Suffrage.

1470 AD - We are happy to report that England sold us a worker.
(I) - It is no surprise that we complete the Hoover Dam.

1475 AD - I am happy to report that we have 3 oil sources.

Summary:
England owes us just one more turn of payments. :flamedevi
I think our forces on hand can get raze those 3 western cities for a few more workers, not to mention capture a couple more that are visible.

I'm sorry - I missed the thread updates completely. I can take it after Hotrod though - also, expect LK49 to be done tonight.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Lee, it appears this one needs a bit of a jump start. I can't quite tell from Hotrod's and Jack's last posts who really has it.

I may have messed it up a bit. Sorry Mystery. I thought Jack was taking the game but it appears I was wrong. I will take it tonight and get it moving again I have LK45 to finish first but will grab this tonight.

This was slated for play after LK45 but that turned into a marathon of turn after turn of the same stuff, rush, road, move.

If Jack is available today/tonight I think it would be best if he could go tonight. I didn't excecpt LK45 to be as awfully long as it was. I should've known.

I am very sorry - I had understood Hotrod got it. Unfortunately, my health hasn't been good lately and I'm on medication that's doing little for my concentration skills.

Please skip me - I won't be able to play before Saturday :(

I've started played 4 turns and we have 7 or 8 new workers, a cav army and a leader rushed Wallstreet in Paris. :devil2:

Will have it back by tomorrow night
