Well, here is my sad sad story. After I learned that I had an HD all along, I went to the store and bought Samsung SSD 850 PRO. When I changed the drive, my computer booted with an already installed Windows and an unrecognized user name on it (protected by a password). When I attempted to reconnect my old hard drive back, it became corrupted, too.
Long story short: someone bought this SSD, returned it to the store, and said there was nothing wrong with it. Since it's Best Buy with thousands daily returns, they did not check the SSD. Turns out it was corrupted by the ******* who returned it, but my computer got so screwed over I had to give it up for repair.
They installed the SSD, and my Windows 10 boots in the blink of an eye. However, Civ VI games still take 1:10 min to load, which is a difference of 10-15 seconds. I tried turning off firewall and antivirus. I disabled Windows Defender completely... I have a freshly installed Windows with no other crap blocking anything. WHAT does it need to boot faster on a newly purchased computer with an SSD?!
Well, at least I know I am not alone. People with even better specs than I do have slow loading times and turns (I don't have a problem with turns, though).
Update: turned down graphic setting from "ultra" to "medium," and game load time reduced to 40 seconds. Turned backed up to "ultra," and no it take 1:05. So random... but 40 seconds is still longer than Sean Bean reading the first paragraph.

Not sure if disabling sound will help... will try tomorrow.
