Do you think it would be advantageous to split the Stories & Tales section into a "Log" format (which tracks progress in the game on a turn by turn basis, often including screenshots) and a "Story" format (which describes a game as a short story.) The "Log" format is much more useful as a strategy guide than the "Story" format, although both have their charms.

If the section is very active (with lots of threads), I think it's worthwhile to split them. Otherwise...

Depends on how busy the forums are. For Civ2 I'd say the log format fits quite sensibly into the present Strategy forum - it's not as active as the Civ3 which may benefit from the separation.

Read: I have no idea what you are talking about, so do whatever you want.

;)

Well, aren't they kinda similar? I don't see the need for it, really, although I don't venture into those scary parts much anymore . . .

IMO, Stories & Tales seems just about right as it is now. ;)

I agree...nothing is wrong except for the fact that Zeeter's story (Hail Ceasar) has yet to come to an end, and that he only posts once a month.

And where would you put Charis' Celtic Christmas? It is a story, but it is also a log of his game (just not as detailed a log as some). ;)

Most of the stories in that forum are *based on* Civ3 games, although some just use Civ3 as a jumping off point. I think keeping both *logs* and *stories* together is fine. :)

Exactly, some Stories are like Mini-Logs, but not Natural Logs, apparently . . .

A good story should be kind of a log or journal anyway . . .
