the 2nd half of part 2
Spoiler :
Having begun Moai statues in GLH, Bah, I'll change that name.
Having begun Moai statues in MOAI STATUES....... Much better... I Queue a settler after the Moai's Others are building infrastructure, or chopping out a worker or settler. 9 workers, I aim for 15 min and 11 cities, Need more settlers and workers once forges come in. Great Library probably going in......Capital city, as when it expires, I'll be building military by then.
Another Dumb Ars#% Barb tourist, reduces my medic chariot to 0.8 out in open, thanks a lot, idiot.
Capital city is back to full pop, let it go 1 over and build settlers.
260 AD Metal casting in, 16 on Lit, all cities queue a forge after current build if under 10 to completion, +1 happy from gems.
350 AD I Merge 2nd Great Profit into Wall street, and raise slider to 50% at 1 gold loss, Currency is next tech required. Long run to bulbing Astronomy if at all. Currency/CoL's then run at optics. Alpha Calender last.
Just had a MAJOR SCREW OVER, 1st, I foolishly move a chariot 2 into fog, ends next to a barb axe, who kills it with 0.5 health. Move Axe to kill barb, and put 3 workers to build a road as well, LOSE AT 3,7% attacking odds. Finally kill barb axe, who's now combat 2, at 99.9% odds, its a wonder I didn't lose again with Chariot. Reduced to 1.8 health attacking, oh yeah, harder RNG'S do it to me. Fog bust Ele/fish in SW of Island mass, raise slider to 70% with loss of workers, I NEED MORE WORKERS/SETTLERS.
390 AD Colossus was just built, and I completely forgot about it. :haha:
410 AD, Forge in Capital city, 18 for Great Library, 18 for CoL's, then running max Scientists and building last settlers for last cities, replacement workers on order as well elsewhere.
510 AD Great Library is BIADL, Hmm could have whipped for 4 pop with 8 to go, but missed it, but Oh well, wasn't that important, I'd liked to have got it, but no. I now think I'm the only one with stone, but Marble is out there. CoL's in 6 and Caste system switch. Can't bulb Astronomy, as I have meditation, so I'll just run straight down Liberalism line. Max Scientists once I have 2 or 3 settlers out, and bulb Taoism, which STILL hasn't gone??
Believe it or not, I've actually built the Statue of Zeus, running 2 Scientists all the time, and never hooking up the Ivory, I was only in it for the cash, but now, I'll keep it for the Quests and golden age reward's, and best to keep out of AI's hands. No GG's born for a while.. too quiet, I don't like it.
I cash in on the Great Library, for 682 gold, I should have really built it, but stupidly didn't go to Lit straight after Aesthetics Oh well.
Caste system due in 5 turns now, civic's switch to Free Religion and Caste system, run max Scientists, and run down Education, bulbing Philosophy.
I make the switch to Caste system and free religion, 84 beakers/turn at a loss of -2 to 3 turns later.
I also get the master blacksmith quest, under anarchy,
625 AD I pop some silver, 2/3 ain't bad, but I'm going for the brass ring of 3/3 3 settlers are being built, then max scientist, Need Alphabet to bulb Philosophy, as I know have Scientist waiting. I want Currency as well, :duh: I forgot again.
660 AD I found Taoism, and its founded in Moai Statues of all places..I revolt to Pacifism for the GPP's generation, and are building the national epic in capital city.
680 AD I fail in the Blacksmiths quest, I only had 5 cities at time, I settled one more, chopped a forge, built another for 6 and was building the 7th. Too little in cities. Need more farming and currency 1st, then civil service paper and education (bulbed) then onto Liberalism.
710 AD Currency is in and I've now changed religious civics 3 times now, from None to Free Religion, to Pacifism, to Organised religion, as I'm only building buildings in all cities, 2 cities to settle, both filler/fishing ports, I also received a Great Artist from Moai statues, despite running 4 Scientists, I merge it into Wall street, as the 3 gold will be multiplied to 9 with bank, grocer, market and Wall street, for rest of game.
Economies crashed back to its true position of 20%, building Forges, Granaries, courthouses, markets and lighthouses in all cities, running for civil service now for irrigation spread. Drama and Theology wonders built over seas, Judaism is the Apostolic palace religion.
820 AD A Great Engineer is born in Capital city, I save him for either Tah Mahal or Mining corp, other wonders.. Meh. Science rate back up to 50%, and rising as courthouses and markets come on line, and merchants are employed. I hope also to generate a Great Merchant for Sids Sushi corp.
During this time also, i've chopped out 2 workers from Wall Street, and another from somewhere? I had to replace the 3 I lost to that 3.7% event
University of Sankore was just built as well,
I'm way behind now.
845 AD A Hurricane, (damm yank's naming) Its a CYCLONE, hits Moai statues, and I lose BUILDINGS, because, I can't choose Population?? why??? I lose a courthouse and Granary. I also complete Angkor Wat, next turn, and begin to spam Taoist Missionaries out to all my cities, Also for the Caravels, if I sent them off, or even Galley's.
860 AD I don't have enough money to gain a Settled Great Artist in Moai statues, the cost of $145 is easily recouped, and after 50 Turns, your making money.
920 AD Civil Service is in, and I begin my Farm spreading. I'm trying for a no cottages variant in this, that and work shops, so I'll need guilds no doubt.
970 AD I've come to the Conclusion, that they aren't fighting, due to a lack of GG's being born, and a rush of Great Scientist, they are all researching madly. Probably tech trading just as virulently, looks like another hard slog, I'll have to wait and see.
1020 AD, Islam's just been founded, and a great merchant was born the turn before, economics I think, but maybe the Great Light House builder got it too. I mean to say, WTH they have 6 religions, 5 of the first 6, why no war's..damm idiots.
1030 AD
has paid off A GG's been born, and I get the Tree event in National parks city. Yeah baby.
1040 AD GDI a Freak'n Great Engineer is born. Hmm I guess hold him over and bulb something maybe. That or merge him into Moai Statues, or capital city, will be my iron works city??
I decide to bulb Machinery with him, I won't win Liberalism race at this pace, of 50 on education, I'm better to try contact them now. 20 turns saved, leaving 32 for Compass and optics.
1045 AD Bernard Montgomery A GG, just died in combat, so we have an aggressive AI, who makes combat GG's I see, most generally settle them.
1085 AD A Great Engineer was born last turn, and Versailles was built this turn, 1 more to go on compass, then 20 on Optics. More GG's spawning, and obviously, it was the founder of Islam who Spawned the Great Engineer.
1095 AD I settle my 12 and last city, I keep crashing my economy form 50% science with all these fishing villages, but it should help in long run, 12 of Toasim, I'd really like a great profit, build the shrine and spread over sea's as well, maybe encourage a Cultural run by an AI or 3,
1145 AD A distant Civ has Circumnavigated the globe and they didn't even contact me...AARRGGGHHH.....2 turns off optics, I'd better pop a scientist so I can bulb Education, and catch back up.
1150 AD And I met my first candidate,
1170 AD 10 tiles away I meet Frederick
and his lord and master, Kublai Khan,
3 down, 3 to go, lets hope Hinduism got a Guernsey.
YES!!! at odds of 59% I spawn a Great Scientist, he'll now bulb Education, and back onto growth for capital city. Education goes from 43 to 15, saving 27 turns, or what I spent on Compass and Optics, but I've gotten harbours out of it, and hopefully I can obtain Liberalism for Astronomy.
1175 AD I Meet both Isobel,
and Kwan Won,
He has both Education, and Philosophy, won't trade Education, so would be going for Liberalism, but doesn't have Nationalism yet!! HA HA
I also come across a land mass filled with Barbarians to the North of Isobel, out of Galley range, might be a good staging point for an invasion and overseas trade.
Final Stem in this bunch of thorns is,
Who's the Lone Hindu, and been at war with Kublai and vassal Frederick, as has lost Orleans to Frederick. De Gaul, is woefully behind in tech, and I thought I was doing badly, actually, looking at it now, I'm doing rather well, I'm surprised totally
TECH'S SCREEN
The World map, which I purchased for 175 gold, and sold my own for 180 gold, show's the situation, with Victoria in WHEOOHRN mode, Better be Isobela, and no Astronomy.
Victoria can research Astronomy, but hates Frederick, I'll have to get out of Taoism, and back into Free Religion, run those scientists and race Kwan Won to Liberalism who's been at war with Kublai, and will be again soon, as the peace treaty expires. What to take, I think I'll look if I make it, otherwise, its trade fest time once I resume

Literally, a date, Victoria, and I have Philosophy on her.
She doesn't have Education Either, but has Printing Press...going for Red Coats I believe. With Optics in, I reduce slider to zero, upgrade 2 Triremes to Caravel's and search the oceans blue. I'm now making 149 beakers/turn at Zero science, ½ of which, is coming from capital as I'm running 6 scientists at a food deficit, AND I'D BETTER SPAWN A GREAT SCIENTIST
