A further suggestion...when one of the games gets crowded ( 5-6 players ) and you have people knocking on the door ..wanting to join.. the player with the most available playing time left.. splits off & starts a new game. Every new game should start with 3 players tho.. otherwise it will most likely fizzle out.

We might even get a 24/7 "Floating" TOT multiplayer IP game going this way.. wouldn't that be something !!

To do this you are going to have to be willing to play a lot of different preferences & take over mis-managed AI empires ( pretty god-awful esp at x2 resources ).. but the point is to build the number of active IP players & get to know each other !

You MGE ( Gold ) players might think about doing something similiar.
