Ah, we're in the final stages of getting ready to start! But, some of this stuff is kinda boring, right?
So make it more interesting! We've had newspapers in the past - this would be a GREAT opportunity to get started on one! These newspapers have been a great source of roleplaying, information, laughs and flatout fiction in the past.
Got a cool idea about a backstory, or about the process we're going through now? Write it up! Think of this as the Constitutional Congress - deal making, compromise, impassioned speakers - the potential is there.
So if you like writing, think you might like writing, or just have the urge to write, do it! Editorials about laws, ideas, heck, even about us sending these poor souls off into the darkness to found a new society!
How do start one? You might have to pay off the mods (just kidding!
), but all you really need to do is come up with a snazzy newspaper name, and create a thread in the Citizen's forum, and post away! In the past, newspapers have used the thread to publish, while others used PM's to send out their papers. Both approaches work, choose what you like.
Above all - have fun with it! Be inventive! These newspapers can take the often boring and numbers-driven game discussions, and fill in the details, the story behind the numbers. You'll be helping this DG become more immersive and enjoyable for your fellow citizens.
