When you guys are playin mulitplayer mode, tell me if you guys encounter anythings you think i should edit and by the end of this month, I will repost the muliplayer mode.

Multiplayer mode was the mode I concentrated on the least, so you MAY encounter a few problems but I don't think so.

As I can see from the screenshots, you've done some very good work to update your mod. Well done! (Though I'm a fan of the book and I find the movies very poor - I regret I'm dissapointed your new young and handsome Aragorn avatar).

lol, thanks yorgos

Attack from road..... Right.....
*Quickly checks map*

Oh, you mean that road? Apparently, some of my generals mistook a wide open field of grass for a road.....:mischief:

I am glad you found your problem, lol.

Yeah it is kinda of hard to see those roads on plains.

Also if you guys rate the mod, tell me why you rated it the way you did. (Good or Bad)

Thanks

How on earth did this mod get a bad rating?...hmmmm sounds like some one is mad with the creator. ROTCWinter, just to let you know, this is one of the best mods I have ever played! Keep up the Good work! who ever voted that must be a noob at mods or is a complete idiot.

Here we are, on the West bank of Anduin River, at The Pillars of the Kings, the crossway... Here, the Fellowship of the ring will divide. We already lost our courageous friend Boromir in The Moria, against the terrible Balrog. After we left the Moria, the Elves of Rivendell took control of the old mine. I hope they will be able to resist against the attacks from Isengard...

Now Frodo and Sam will go to Minas Tirith and from there they will try to reach Mount Doom to destroy the Ring. We heard from the Elves that Osgiliath has fallen but Minas Tirith has been able to resist the numerous attacks of the terrible Uruk-hai from Mordor.

On our side, we will now go to Rohan, were waves of Orks are flooding from Mordor and Isengard. Gandalf is already there. There is a rumor he led an attack to Isengard, with Theoden and Eomer on his side. They haven't been able to destroy the city or capture Saruman, but his army of Orks have been seriously affected. We will destroy the enemy on the North, then we will go to Gondor, were lies a Greater Threat.

But the true destiny of this War is in the hands of our friends Frodo and Sam... the Destiny of Middle Earth...

You know guys that I don't have to be done with this mod, I was hoping one day that I would make huge map of middle that is totally accurate to the Book/Movie. But what I am saying is that I would like some more units animations, terrain graphics (MODOR TERRAIN GRAPHICS THAT WILL GO WITH MINE), and of course IDEAS!!! But that is up to you guys in the animation and graphics creation department to make new works of art that i can incorporate into Lord of Middle Earth.

Faith of Middle-Earth is sealed: The Alliance of Free People won over the Forces of Evil from Mordor.

Sauron's Ring was thrown in Mount Doom by Frodo on week 43...

Sauron was already a fading Shaddow when I, Aragorn son of Arathorn, definitively defeated him on week 45.

The Elves had already taken back control of Myrkwood some weeks ago, after we destroyed the evil lying in Isengard. We bravely sustained an ultimate assault from Harad and Mordor in Minas Tirith and Pelargir and we conquered back Minas Ithil... We are now hunting the last remnants of Orc armies. It won't be long before Harad surrenders to the united power of North and West..

Thanks Charles Hill for this great mod!!! Very well balance and accurate :goodjob: - I especially liked the fact you used my dwarvian cities :p

Hello again!

Just wanted to say that I´ve downloaded this new mod (I played the old alot) and am playing it right now.

So far I must say its great!

Its week 16 and the fellowship is outside Moria trying to get pass the balrog.

It took some time forming the group when they met up outside Rivendell and then wandered south. The three nazgul that were searching the Shire were killed by a combined force of rangers from Arnor and Aragorn.
Legolas and Sam killed some spiders and orcs on the way south and also Gimli was involved in combat. He was badly injured and slowed down the whole party when he needed to rest.

Things look grim in Gondor. The first turns I defended Osgilath and managed to kill 1 or 2 more nazguls.

Raiding cave trolls in the west also had to be dealt with.

The following weeks alot of Mordor forces gathered outside Minas Tirith and I had to leave Osgillath with all forces except a token defender of 1 pikemen.
We repelled hordes of trolls and ologhai storming the mighty walls of Minas Tirith but Osgiliath fell to a surprise attack of 2 units of uruk-hais from Mordor.
The pikemen killed the first uruk but was slain by the next.
Now Osgiliath belongs to the dark forces just as in the books.

These are some suggestions or thoughts that I have come up with so far:

1) At one occasion Faramir was togather with a unit of archers in a forest south of Minas Tirith when a unit of uruks attacked. Faramir has the best def value of 9 compared to 3 of the archers. Still the archers were selected for defense by the AI and were killed by the uruks. How come? Is it because Faramir is considered a king unit?

2) The watcher was too easy to kill by bombardment from Gandalf and Legolas. I suggest that you give the watcher a defense of 15 to 20 wich means it cant be killed too easy and the fellowship will probably choose just to pass it as in the books. Still keep it immobile and let it harass the party with bombardment (its arms)

3) What is it with the balrog in Moria? It seems that the bombardment from both Gandalf and Legolas have no effect at all. Was this intended?
Is it because of a building inside Moria?

4) I like how you diminished the power and spawn rate of the siege machines in Minas Tirith. Now lets just see if I manage to hold the city until help arrive:D

I tried playing the dwarves in multiplayer mode but encountered a little bug. I reasigned all the hero units to the dwarves, but when I took control of Moria, I started producing Gandalf the white like rabbits!! I guess it will be necessary to give him the King flag to avoid this problem, but I'm not sure. See the image bellow:

BTW, I also made a ''Wall'' of these cities. You can find the preview here:

and the file here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=3195735&postcount=20

I also made another version with a death dragon that not much people liked; you can find it by scroling down in the Dwarf cities graphic thread in my sig.

*******

Concerning the rabbit Gandalf problem, I fixed it on my side by giving Gandalf the white a king flag.

I played some more on singleplayer and I noticed some stuff.

There is no Hornburg in Helms deep but the building is described in the pedia. Without the keep the village is just a defenseless village on grassland.

I also noticed that the game ends if you loose units such as Merry&Pippin and King Theoden. Why is that so? I can understand that the game ends if Frodo,Sam,Gandalf or Aragorn dies but units such as Legolas, Gimli, Merry, Pippin,Boromir(i lost him to the balrog in Moria as well), Theoden, Faramir should be "expendable" to win the war.

Btw. In my game Mordor bypassed Minas Tirith and went with their main forces via Anorien towards Edoras. Things look grim since they spawn units faster than I can kill and Edoras has starved from size 8 to size 3 because of enemy presence. I havent been able to conquer Isengard either so Saruman continues to spawn uruks at a steady pace.

Boromir is dead and Eomers army is destroyed and all of the first spawn of Rohirrim are soon dead in a war of attrition against Mordor.
Those wraiths on wings sure are nasty!

Maybe I will restart the scenario and bypass Isengard so that I can send the good units south much faster.

I wanted to play like the books with the whole fellowship capturing Moria and then destroying Isengard before going south to Gondor but it seems I took to much time.....

The only thing I would like to change graphically would be the animation for Shelob. The one currently used is the same as the other spiders, which is not very fluid. For Shelob, I would rather use one of the spiders made by Kinboat:

On a side note, I just finished a game with the dwarves. I took control of Myrkwood but the Race of Man have been destroy by Moria, one turn before I dropped the Ring in Mount Doom.

Note that Hills are NOT impassable by wheeled units in multiplayer mode. Also, Sam can bombar in Singleplayer but not in Multiplayers mode. Otherwise, good job!!

I have some answers to a few questions you asked, but you made some good points as well.

1)You are right, the reason why Faramir is the last defender in a city is because he is a King unit. The reason why I did this was because I didn't want all of the Hero units, like Faramir to die easily due to the fact that they would be the fist unit to defend since they have the best defense usually. But good question...

2)Yea I was thinking the same thing, but if i increase his defense it won't affect his ability to withstand bombard, so I will probably increase his hipoints to make him harder. But yeahh, good idea drendor...

3)To tell you the truth, I have actually no idea why it does that. And I checked to see if it was a building and nope it wasn't. Hmmmmm I will have to think about that one...

4)Yea me too, I thought it was annoying and less accurate the way the trebuchets were before...

Thanks drendor

ooppss, I accidentally deselected Gandalf the White as a King Unit in Multiplayer. Thanks for finding it. I will change all of these minor bugs by the end of this month in the download. But yeah, for everyone who has already downloaded the mod, do what Beboy did and add Gandalf the White as a King unit in MULTIPLAYER...

First off, great story :goodjob: , don't forget about the undead though... all hope isnt lost :D

To reply on what you said about the hornburg, Ooppss, yep it seems I missed one other thing. Thanks for finding it drendor :) . Ill have all of the bugs fixed by the end of this month, but for all of you who have already download Lord of Middle Earth, click on Helm's Deep and add the Hornburg into the city. Make sure you hold down Control when you are doing so...

To reply on the Hero units in the quote, the reason why I did this was because if I didn't make them king units and argorn was defending them, on lets say whethertop, then merry and pippen or whoever wasnt the king unit would defend first instead of aragorn, and I dont think that people want there little hobbit friends defending against Nazgul :) , but the reason why all hero units are king units on their upgrades is because if I didnt, then The Race of Men would be able to build frodos and sams...:(
But yeahh drendor, very good question:goodjob:

Yeah your right Beboy, shelob does need a new animation.
I was actually already contemplating on whether to use one of those 4 spider animations for shelob, but I couldnt decide on which one... which one do you guys recommend?

Yea, the reason why I didnt make hills impassable in multiplayer was due to the fact that if you were playing with a group of people and frodo and sam die by your stupid friend :D, then you couldnt send anyone else into mordor with the ring. But whats your opinion on the hills, do you think they should be impassable, because i could really go either way? Good findings...

yeah, that was a last minute change in the mod when I made sam be able to bombard, I guess I forgot to change it in the multiplayer, but I shall have it fixed along with all the other bugs mentioned by you guys at the end of this month.

Thankyou guys for finding those bugs and if you find anymore feel free to tell me :D

As a side note, if you guys think of any other cool ideas or have any suggestions or changs that I should make to the game, please feel free to tell me!

Also, keep those stories a comin, everyone likes to here other expierences in the game!!!
