Another game where I'm losing workers because the AI declares
war and drops units on a square with a worker.
None of those units have the amphibious ability,so this should not
happen.

A worker can't defend himself, so why should the AI have amphibious ability?
It should de quite ridiculous when a infantry can't land on your shores
because a farmer is busy feeding his pigs ....:mischief:

All units can attack amphibiously, I think. Ones without the specific promotion or whatever it is (haven't actually built such a unit yet) simply face a 50% attack penalty. Since workers have no defense, they're sitting ducks.

All units now in effect have the amphibious assault ability from Civ 3, the promotions just remove the penalties for it. It was far more ridiculous in Civ 3 when you couldn't take undefended cities or land troops because of one worker.
