Have you ever "lost time" when playing civ 3? Last night I sat down to play at 10:00pm. I would have sworn it was 10:20 at the latest, but when I looked at the clock, it was 12:30. This especially happens to me when I'm embroiled in a war. What's the longest period anyone has ever lost track of?
I always lose track of time, but the worst i think was a session started at 9pm and ended at around 4am!!! I promised myself that i'd stop at 12am so i could wake up early and do some studying.
I am a huge Simpsons' fan (seen every episode about 8 times), however, ever since my love for Civilization has turned into an addiction I've been missing the Simpons' every night! It's so very sad... I keep looking up at the clock to realize that the episode I was planning on watching ended an hour ago. Oh well, I guess I should just Tivo them from now on...
I once lost track of time and finally became aware of my true surroundings 6,500 years later. Or at least i think it was 6,500 years. I've got the clocks set in "turns."
If I have something that I have to do at a specific time I turn on an alarm on my cell phone. Sometimes, I actually pay attention to the alarm. If I dont set the alarm, I am sure to be late.
I have a wife and kids too. Where civ is involved, I still havent picked up that family responsibility stuff.
