its a big iTouch. It runs a similar OS, it can use all the apps.

According to the keynote, its in-between a smartphone and a computer. That was what they were aiming for and I must agree, they have met that mark. I haven't completed the keynote yet, but it does look very interesting. The e-reader looks nice, but after seeing it, I fear that it will cause eye strain during long periods of reading. If I ever did get one of these, I would get rid of my iPhone and buy some junk phone. Granted, I currently have no plans to get one. Now, if one of you wish to give one to me as a gift, I would be honored to accept it and thanks!

According to some rumors, they are finding code within the SDK signifying that it is designed for VOIP conference calls, which would be nice.

Most e-readers, like the kindle, are made not to cause eye strain during long periods of reading. But the big question is... Will Firaxis made a civ game for it?

Civ for iPhone is runnable on the iPad I believe.

Okay, but if they'll do Facebook, they might do this. I am still wandering why they are making a facebook game, but WTH. I would rather have CIV V. See if he announces anything at GDC (That's what he's speaking at right?.

It is. According to the keynote any app that is available for the iphone does work on the ipad. Apparently they double the pixels, if I understood them correctly. As a demo, they played some racing game iphone app on the ipad and it looked great.
