Originally posted by Melinder If Henrik was 30, then I guess I'm 31. I'd get PTW for Mac without hesitation, though, scenario editor or not. I want to play multiplayer with CFC's "Julio", who uses a Mac, lives with me, and is therefore #32 on the list.
I have to agree with you here ! Whilst I've really enjoyed playing Civ3 (as I am at the moment, on one of my Macs) I keep going back to some of the great Civ2 scenarios (Cross & Crescent, Second Front, Cruel Sea, Great Napoleonic Battles, etc) and realise how much I miss all this in Civ3...
If things carry on the way they are (i.e. no Mac Civ3 editor) I can see myself going back to playing Civ2 pretty much exclusively.
I've pretty much turned my back at civ3 allready, I still play and develop scenarios for civ 2 however, and I still play PBEMs and online MP against PC users with it...
Maybe we'll finnally finnish off that mac scenario database too sometime ;o
I have as a principle not to respond to silly threads like this so I won't.

Ohh, foiled again. Now if it wasn't for the four kids and the dog.....
P.S. Returned to Civ 2. Apart from borders I still have problems seeing the "improvements" in Civ 3 as improvements.
I see the multiplayer as a bonus(not that it wouldn't be fun), all i really want are the new units and any other improvements to Civ 3. still using 9.0, but i'll probably upgrade when i have enough money to upgrade, or when PTW comes out for mac, which ever comes first.
i just checked out the official civ 3 website, where it said that PTW for mac is "coming soon" . I really hope this is true. anyways, would they really say that if they weren't going to make it?
True the macers of apolyton usually hang around in the PC forumae, mostly as creation, mp and sp is all the same for bot platforms (atleast for civ 2, though I can't imagine it varies much in civ 3 either).
BTW Henrik, the Civ2 Mac Download page is awesome. I'm going to reinstall Civ2 today and try some of the scenerios out. Did a couple of them come w/ the MGE?

I think all the Mac Civ2 scenarios me and henrik had agreed to post (after Thunderfall originally agreed to a separate Mac Civ2 downloads collection ) were made after MPGE came out (if that's what you mean).
I was looking at the list of Mac scenarios this very afternoon in fact, and there's easily 40+ we still should post there ! Henrik !? [Time to put on the green eyeshades and boot-up ZipIt... ]
