There should be a linux option. In the meantime, Linux users can vote for Mac OS, who is UNIX-based as well ;)

Judging from the level of the debate in the iTunes for PC thread, I wonder if this thread will get more or less flames than the one on France...

I would vote for Linux, even though I use a Windows.

I admit that Linux is better in so many ways... I've just used Windows for so many years that I can't give it up!

i have never realy used mac, i had a mac for a few years but it was a good 12 years old when i got it, dateing back to atleast 1986.. wich whold not make a fear comptitons..... so i just voted poopy butt. but i have heard that mac is much beater then windose, and much less bugy...

you compare the wrong things with each other

you compare an os (soft) with a compu (hard)

So you're saying that Macs are for stupid people who can't figure out how to use a computer? ;)

I recently marked the 10th anniversary of my first Mac. I'm on my third one (2001 vintage Quicksilver G4 running 10.2.6) I intend to purchase many more.

Linux all the way, but unfortunately none of the programs I use run under it, so I live with XP Pro.

on my experience windows are better, but the only macs i ever used were at my schools and looked old and crappys. I've always wanted to try linux but i don't want to risk my nice computer and screw up installing it. mabey if i ever get an old computer or this one gets old

I use both...have both a Mac and Darkside machine here at home and have used both in the work place.

Mac hands down because it is easier to use, easier to teach and light years easier to troubleshoot.

I use Windows and Linux. Mac's are good for what they do, but there's not that many desks these days that need weighted down to avoid mysteriously levitating away, so I say the market share is about right...
