Made a new map - it only allows 2 players?!

Hi,

I'm trying my hand at making my first map mod. So I made the map with 8 different cities (8 civs) in World Builder, saved it, built it in ModBuddy, saved it and opened it in Civ 5.

The problem is for size its only allowing duel (2 players). What happened to the 8 civs I created on the map? I went back and checked, they are all still there.

Anyone know why it seems to be ignoring my other civs? I don't think I want to add 6 more random civs as this would probably mess up the placement I created in my map...

-Confused

PS. I didn't actually open and play the map - I am just reporting what the loading screens are saying.

Later...

I think my problem was the sliders in the World Builder were not set to the right size.

After fixing that, I still have a major issue: when I go to play my map, it seems that the enemy cities as well as my own don't start where they should per the map I designed...The map I pick has my custom name, but I can't even be sure its the one I actually saved in the builder.

Under scenario I only see the Rise of the Mongel. To get to my saved map I have to go through Mods>Single Player> Set up Game, click the Advanced Setup button and then pick my map from the list. I can then enable the Load Scenario radio button (which shows 10 players, not the 8 that are on my map) and click Play. At this point it puts me in the game but as the wrong leader. If instead of hitting Back from the Advanced Screen I had picked Start Game it puts me in the game as my chosen leader but with the problems noted above.

BTW when I clicked on your jpg to enlarge it I got a message that looked like it was from MSE claiming I had a virus and asking be to DL an exe...I aborted that, ran MSE and came up clean.

you have to disable those Sid Meier Scenarios in the modbrowser before you hit "Setup Game" then choose your map and after that click "Load Scenario"

with those official Scenarios activated you get a custom setup screen makes you unable to play your stuff.

OK thank you. I never did see exactly where to disable Scenarios, but I finally fumbled my way into getting it to work by loading the scenario (radio button) and re-picking the correct leader after starting from the Mods screen. I guess when its all said and done the actual process is easy enough - I just don't know where any of this is documented so I was guessing at every step.
