I have been playing a rather funny SG game, which was my first.

Tho I feel I am now capable of a bit better than Regent (trying my first steps up the ladder tho) I will join you, if just to see what an SG is like in "comfortable" settings.

If you will have me offcourse.

madviking--are you a chieftain player? If you are already a regent player then take it up a notch or two. This is how you will learn. You will find more players too.
I don't think I'm qualified to be a trainer but I will throw my .02 where I see things.

Not a sign up but I'll help where I see fit. Bede is a good trainer and I'm sure he'll lurk in. He is doing another training game with namliaM so we'll see what he or another high level player says.

BTW if you edit out the [*url] pic[/url] and replace them with
you'll see the pics on the screen.

I am willing to help train but would really like another trainer to step up as well. First MadV tell me why you like #3 over the others?

Hi Viking dude. Start 3 looks good, terriffic if there are BG around the hill. I would move the settler W, settle on hill and chop a fast granary out right off the bath, at regent.

I have too many SG's running right now, and I think there would be more qualified trainers than I (DG player) to help you out. Will lurk from time to time.

Let me play devil's advocate here. Look at the minimaps. Start 3 is close to tundra. In fact it almost looks like tundra is possible 1SE of the wine.

As namliaM said on start 1 you have two cows, a bg and a chop. If you move the worker to the SW cow could it uncover a lake?

tundra is not always evil. it might have some oil we need for tanks later. And also furs can be there. If its a small one, its not a problem. but thats not always the case.
*REVIEWS OF EACH START*

1- nice cows, but posibly no water or lux.
2- average start, # bgs, river, plains and mounts and hills
4- nicely growing city but only a hill to support production.
