DAY SEVEN​

By an almost unanymous decision, JoanK was selected to die. He was led to the gallows and the rope was tied around his neck, then the trapdoor opened. There was a dull bang and a puff of smoke. When it cleared, JoanK was gone and in his place was a small log. Several manga-addicted NPCs pointed out that this was a common type of ninjutsu: JoanK had fled the scene.

Yet again there was a member missing, besides all those insignificant NPCs killed during this conflict between criminals and the forces of law and order. Resignedly, the remaining PCs went to see where Kennigit's body had been found. He had been killed by a poisoned dart which had struck him in the navel while he was changing: the coroner very nearly missed it.

Until I get a more coherent explanation than I've had so far about what's behind this claim, I'd rather we didn't get carried away with an unstoppable bandwagon. That's not to say Newyn is innocent - his failure to contest the charge seems pretty damning to me - but rather that I'm wary of anything that I didn't already know about, given that I've had roleclaims from every player still in the game (Newyn claims vanilla, btw).

Instead, and for the time being, I'm going to put my vote on Double A. I know he's been active at night at least once in the game, and his claims to me so far have been rather sketchy and unusual (something about having multiple different abilities, none of which seem to have yielded any proof that they exist at all).

What was that about?

At his place there was nothing much of interest, except for Winston's corpse. He had apparently ordered teriyaki chicken with extra sauce and died from an overdose of wasabi.

Again, we don't have any proof of a fourth mafioso left, why disregarding the possibility of a second ninja killer. Why, if JoanK didn't have any chance to win, as he claimed, would kill Winston then?

Anyone knows apart of the deceased, who was the ordered target for JoanK the night Winston got killed?

While I'm still suspicious of BSmith, his bulletproof ability and that thing about getting enough money to get out of the game while a couple of days passed down and he is still around, I'm more inclined towards Double A at the moment.

Seems I was wrong about Kennigit. I'm suspicious of AA but he hasn't done that much to get a vote. So BSmith1068, I'm not sure what the thing with the money was about?

Unless BS is making up a ton of unnecessary details, I really don't think he's a ninja. Skipping town with a suitcase full of money sounds more like a blues song than anything from Japan.

Honestly, I don't believe JoanK for a minute. This whole "I'm a SK" thing, with a little Japanese added for flair, doesn't ring true. If you were a SK, why not reveal yourself earlier to some trusted town member? I think this is a last ditch attempt to shed some blame and pin it on Snerk. My vote goes to JoanK.

His vote came after Winston made his case towards Snerk...

So what you're saying here is that you're scum, and you want to save your scumbuddy Snerk from getting lynched, and make sure that you and your scumbuddies don't have to worry about being nightkilled by JoanK.

The man called Verarde was led to the gallows and lynched. He had been in a catatonic state the entire day, his mind somewhere else, if anywhere at all.
It sadly turned out that he was a completely innocent member of the Town! Takhisis the cat put a paw to his eyes.

Throughout the day, another player had gone about town, visiting several establishments of dubious reputation. Near dusk, he arrived back in his apartment and emerged shortly afterwards carrying all his luggage, including a set of mamushkas. He hailed a cab and rode it to the airport.

'Entrepreneur.'

The man was escorted to his plane, crewed by hostesses in unnecessarily short skirts.
Takhisis the cat was happy for him, it had been given food often by the Russian businessman and knew that, even though the origins of his money were shady, it wasn't that terrible.
