While playing you get those pop up saying how a country is ranked in one area. Some times the computer in first has impossable numbers.

Iv seen:
8 food per population
60 happiness

how does one get so high?? This is around 100 turns, give or take 30. I do play on difficalty 6

That is not per population. 8 food means they have 8 food surplus across their entire empire. Same with happiness.

no its per person, which is why it seems immpossable

and yes i know happiness is large scall but 60? when u got 3-5 cities? bearly in the medival era

I've had numbers that high. With a few city-state allies, it's not hard, especially on lower difficulties.

Last game i played, don't remember the number, but had a :):):):) load of happiness and yes it was that soon in the game too. Can't understand why people seem to be having such a hard time figuring out the happiness and gold. Never been in the red for either one in any of my games so far.

I just a cultural victory with Americans 3 cities on small conts, prince difficulty.

At my high point, I was rocking 150 gold a turn (Golden Age) 400 culture a turn and 74 happy people.

Its possible. The key is city states. Man, city states are so hot you dont even know it.

I played 6 civs small map and 15 city states. I was managing to stay allied with 7 of them. I pretty had every resource in the game, really helps out with population. Furthermore, i was fully developed into Piety tree, which also helps alot.

You can get your numbers up there, if your dedicated enough.

Of course, I zero army and had to appease my neighbors by trading goods are low low going out of business prices.

Ended up with Cultural Victory 2012.

Creepy.
