Hey, I get some insane problems running this game... here's my specs...

Thunderbird 850MHz
Geforce2mx
512Megs RAM
40gig HD (%50 free)
Windows XP Professional

Now when I try to run it normally, my screen shakes terribly (so bad that I cant use it, gives me mass-headache). I tried farking with the refresh rates, and the resolutions, nothing worked. The only way I've gotten it to not shake is by running in Win95 compatibility mode. Now when I do this, I can't view (or even talk to) some nations (China, Japan, Russia so far..). When these nations try to talk to me, I get an error report and have to close the game.

Problem#2) In one game, I can't get past the year 1510. When I hit end turn or whatever, i get that timer thing, please wait, and it just sits there till i get annoyed enough to cntrl-alt-dlt close it.

Any ideas? Please?

Shouldn't ctrl-alt-del it until it freezes and you have no choice.

Course, by that point your keyboard should be locked out, too, but that's what the cord in the back's for.

I can still cntl-alt-dlt because XP runs programs on seperate threads, so civ3 gets to crash as much as it likes, but I can always close the process and start again. Any ideas ppl?
