Hi all

I've been playing Civ II for years now, and I always liked the Marco Polo's Embassy. Not only for its effect, but especially for the movie clip, and the music with it.

But I've been searching for long now where the music comes from. Does someone perhaps know the title (and maybe the composer) of the music?

what does the marco Polos Embasy supposed to do?

the Marco Polos embasy is supposed to be built in Beijing. other wonders can be built in Beijing as well. Sun Zu's war academy and the great Wall. and if you down load "Call To Power" mod you can also put in the Forbidden city.

so what does Marco polos Embasy do?

Marco Polo's Embassy is one of the best (early) wonders. It can be build in every city and gives you an embassy with all other civ's (also when they are on the other side of the world). Pressing F3 and you can contact every civ. It's the way to get easy techs who are discovered by the other civ's and getting maps of the other civ's.

Also, remember that, once you build MPE, you can trade maps with all the other civs. Whether you want to trade or conquer, you cannot beat that with a stick!

The music has been used in another game by MicroProse. In Magic: The Gathering, which was released in 1997, it is one of the background tunes for the cities. I think Sid worked on that game so that would explain the reason.
