To be honest, I was somewhat unsure where to put my vote, until I became a "victim" of your advertising sub-title!
I'm not sure HBD88 does, though.
And when he posted that I had a feeling that maybe that's why some of the Dude supporters voted for Dude, thinking that they're deciding about whether to have the swordsman or fanatic.

No, I get it.
I first arrived on the Civfanatics front page in July 2002 and I started to see the swordsman there.
I was assuming that the Ancient CFC style logo was the same on the original front page of Civfanatics before Civ3 which is why I made that reference.

I must have forgotten to put my thinking cap on, because I'm confused here.
Are you saying that you like the swordsman better than the fanatic, but know that this isn't what this thread is about? If so, perfectly fine with me, but the way you posted it made me think that you do think that this is what the vote is about.
Hmm, that's a good question. It's probably because he thinks it looks cool. And I agree, although I think the French musketeer is the coolest (followed by Maximus).
Now that I think about it, it'd be cool if we could have the option of choosing the unit that's in the logo. Of course, it probably shouldn't be done now with the server troubles (and I don't know if it even can be done).

The fanatic guy carries what looks to me like a torch, and the dude with the sword has a sword. At least, that's how I see it.
Actually (although your idea's probably better) what I meant was in our UserCP or somewhere we could get to choose what Civ graphic appears in the logo for our computer individually. I don't know if that's possible, though. And of course it's probably too much of a negative for not enough of a positive.
