A large black cat sat on the farthest wall—black but for a single patch of white fur covering the chest. Opposite it, staring into the cat’s single eye stood
Maria Chile. To the dancers, the cat seemed normal, friendly even. But to her, the cat was a demon. Suddenly the formless splotch of white fur began to change before Chile’s very eyes. Staring back at her was the shape of the gallows she knew she deserved. A wordless cry formed on her lips as she backed away in horror. Then to the surprise of those around her, especially
Kendric Johnson, she flung herself off the roof.
Startled by their friends sudden descent into madness but unsure what it meant, the party goers returned to the ball.
Steve Fontaine was seen collaborating with
Elmer Jancis; about what though, nobody could tell. Perhaps it had something to do with the outlandish purple coat somebody was wearing?
Jayden Hadel on the other hand, had no such reservations about making his thoughts known.
“This man is infected!” he cried “Hurry, we must hold him down so I may save him!”
“Get away from me you fool” came the frantic reply.
“This is for your own good! No harm can come from this medicine to one such as yourself”
The dancers, eager to thwart the plans of the Red Death obliged the request of the doctor and held down Satchel while the syringe was being prepared. Carefully, Hadel injected the antidote into the body of the still resisting Satchel.
“You fool! You’ve murdered me!” With a final gasp of breath,
Keir Satchel breathed his last.
“I must say doctor, congratulations on a job well done. You’ve succeeded where everyone else has failed”
“Thank you my friend (
Kendric Johnson)”.
The dancers returned to their dancing confident in their future.
Autolycus has taken over for Rhawn.
