Okay, so I used great map of the Mediterranean created by matros:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=393960

to make a scenario of Ancient Mediterranean. I thought I did everything correctly, after I removed Spain and Denmark (since I don't have the DLC) I set it up the way I wanted it and tried to test it in-game.

Problem is, it spawns Egypt in the southern Ukraine rather in the Nile river valley with 2 cities and such. :(

If someone could take a look and tell me what I am doing wrong (because at this point I have no idea) I would be very grateful.

EDIT: CivFanatics would not let me upload, so here is the link:

The map works fine - places the four playable civs in the positions defined with the correct units.

So it must be something you are doing wrong to start the scenario - suggest you follow the steps given in the previous post as those work for your map file

You're right , I wasn't aware that if it didn't come from ModBuddy, you had to go through the Mods menu in order to get all the starting goodies. Thanks for that!
