MEGA-GIGA ICBM is possible

Okay, this is great, but I think the blast radius and effect should be elevated as well. It should definitely wipe out the city completely.

There seriously should be a enhanced radius mod for this.

Can you launch nukes from a view of earth?

No, and if you go to the view of the earth while dropping a "Giga-Mega" Intercontinental Ballistic Missile the explosion won't be seen and it will end quickly so you will have missed everything.

Would be nice for a small "nuke"-mod. Including first the tactical nukes then ICBMs and a gradual power increase of them (affect more tiles, more damage perhaps etc.) with big research reqs to trigger a costly arms race...

how about trying this:

launch some nukes, pause, launch some nukes 2 squares left, pause, launch some nukes two squares down, pause, launch some nuke 2 squares right. unpause and watch as a bigger radius gets hit. I wonder what the graphics will look like? Anyone ever tried simultanious extremely close hits?

That's what I said earlier. :)

You mean a hydrogen bomb based on fission? BTW I think after you discovered fission all fusion based ICBMs should change to fissional missiles.

Somewhat off-topic (sorry about that) but I think you got fusion and fission the wrong way around. Hydrogen bombs are based on fusion: forming heavier nuclear particles from the lightest one there is: hydrogen. The first nukes were fission bombs in which heavy nuclei (uranium in the case of Little Boy and Plutonium in the case of Fat man) were split up producing lighter ones.

I'd like to ask how do you pause the game?

In addition, I would like to see a graphite bomb in the game. They are non-lethal bombs that work by spreading a cloud of extremely fine carbon fiber wires over electrical components, causing a short-circuit and a disruption of the electrical supply. They could be used to halt production in a city for three turns and would not cause as much negatives in diplomacy because they are not lethal as stated above.

Lastly, hydrogen bombs are the result of two atoms (some examples are tritium, deuterium, and lithium) fusing under intense heat and pressure. This fusion releases enormous amounts of energy resulting in the explosion. You should know what hydrogen fusion is because that is what keeps our sun producing heat and light for which we would all die a sad, cold, and dark death without SPQR300.

Yeah, I know all these things, I learn physics 4classes/week at school, the only problem is that my English is not the best, and somehow I confused them :D. I hope my physics teacher is not reading this thread... :D:lol:

Wow SPQR300, why did you bring this back? What page did you find this from 20? Also, I love how it took you 19 days to come up with an answer if you are going to say that in response to my other question.

I forgot about the thread ^^. And it was inactive too, so I decided to bump it up a little. Maybe some people haven't seen it yet :D

My computer would freeze if I tried to do that. Too bad.

I was fooling around with this too at the end of my previous game, started dropping a 100 nukes a turn or so, global warming became rather intense :P I had red dots all over my minimap showing me new global warming effects. Shame civ decided to crash after about 7 or 8 turns

I have to say impressive... though i have to say i preferr tormenting my opponent by dropping 1 at a time on them :P

I do have 1 question... How does this stack attack work with an SDI? I tryed to fake a map and trick the AI into building the SDI (basicly gave them a cpl perfect cities with nothing left to build exept projects)... but they decided to work on something other then SDI and i didn't have the patience.

Anyway it would be a good way to test exactly how many nukes are getting through the SDI (launch 10 and see how many hit)... might also be a good way to launch n ukes if you know your gona be facing an SDI (instead of watching constant failures)... just a thought

OMG:eek:, please just let this thread die and stop bumping literally a month in between! No one cares anymore or else this thread would still be on the front page or two. You have to learn to accept (almost) no thread stays on the first page forever and move on.
