Update 3: "Progress, slow and plenty"
Year 3 CE
[The West]
Frothgar I, content with her conquests of the Versid left in her foothills, merely took a dozen husbands and left the villages to the dogs. Her conquests elsewhere include a large mine, which was ripe with spoils.
+1 gold, Frothgarth.
War! War and expansion. Now that is something the Versidi know, if they know anything at all. With the Kulghan's new policy of bribing the enemy of his enemy, his people have made a good amount of progress on the tribes. This has, however, caused alienation amongst the Nuubish peoples surrounding Aldris.
-2 Infantry, +1 gold, Versidi Kulghanate.
Continued work on their agricultural systems have given Versidi economy a boost.
+1 TSP, Versidi Kulghanate.
[The North]
King Alindor of Af Ilseldi sent his men south to deal with his useless cousin in rebellion, Shadbolt. The King's men arrived at the Ducal palace to find it deserted, save for a skeleton force which was easily dispatched. While the raid on the palace turned up fruitless, hey, you still captured the Duke's seat of power, right?
Rumors leak from Nicol Ucat that the quarries are more than they seem. The production of masonry and stone crafts slowed, while the funding increased, perplexingly.
[The East]
East on the sea the Kingdom of Erendor has increased its influence on the coasts, gaining them many minor allied clans and serfs. In other news an entire Infantry brigade has disappeared while exploring the hills nearer Nicol Ucat.
-1 Infantry, Erendor.
[The South]
Chancellor Ludavico has used his immense influence to handle the fishermen's rebellion deftly. A crack down on rebel's vessels proved, while not entirely a waste of money, to have little effect on the fishermen who had just decided to leave Piratian waters altogether.
-1 TSP, Piratia
[The Underdark]
A portion of a map has leaked of the cave system discovered by
dwarven Ucattan quarry workers near the city of Nicol Ucat. What this means for the rest of the continent, it is not known. One Ilseldian philosopher has proposed that perhaps it is the entrance to hell. The same thought-for-money-worker had proposed that the world was born from pixie dust a thousand years ago in a sort of explosion before time, so one must take these things lightly.
