Hey guys

Ive been a little confused lately. I am playing a game where I founded the Ashen Vale, built the special building in the holy city using a great sage and researched infernal pact first, choosing not to play as the infernals.

I want to build the Meshabber of Dis, but I can't see the build option in my cities. What am I missing? I have the other hero (the mounted dude). Is there a limit on my number of heroes or something?

Also, I really want to build some of these Snake Towers, but Im not sure what terrain they can be built on. My workers dont seem to have the option to build them.

Any advice would be great

Thanks guys

Al

To build the Meshabber of Dis , you need an armageddon counter of 70 or higher.
And the snake pillars aren't buildable at all. They only appear on hell terrain, which begins to spread after the infernals have entered the world. If the hell terrain reaches some resources like rice or corn, they are converted to snake pillars.

Build the Ragarnok (sp)world wonder, spread the veil. Each hero of AV also rises it as does the OO religion wonder building

Ty guys makes much more sense now. Seems like I need to promote that armageddon counter. How can I raise it other than razing cities? Razing isnt something that I do in general. I like to usurp lol

Thanks again guys

Al

The best way to raise the armageddon counter is to spread the Ashen Veil to many cities. Other ways are some wonders which raise it(I think only the pillar of chains so far), annihilating good civs, build prophecy of ragnarok and build many units in this city( for twenty units the prophecy mark promotion is given which raises the ac by one), build ashen veil heroes. I can't remember more at the moment.

Excellent. Ty again. This has given me info on another question I had about hell terrain too.

Is hell terrain good? It sounds very cool lol

Al

Hell terrain is good cause it creates Nightmares (+1 Strength, and +10% in hell terrain for horse units) from horses and cows. It creates fire barriers on deserts. And if you are Hyborem or use sacrifice the weak, almost everyone else lose food because of the hell terrain, but you don't eat food (or as much with sac the weak). You get resources that lower enemies healing in your terrain (Razorweed and Gulagarm, as well as Entropy Mana if you got Veil holy city and/or are Hyborem), and all your demonic units are stronger in the hell terrain.

And also, you get Sheut Stones which give your units +1 Death Strength, +25% resitance to Death damage, and -10% resistance to Holy

I do have one other question though which has been bugging me. What does (for example) +1 death combat mean? Or +3 fire combat? Etc?

Thanks

Al

That's +1 strength. The difference is, this strength is of a type and can be resisted or be weak against. So depending on the enemies resistances, that strength point will count as more or less than +1.

For example, Fireball has 0 strength, but +4 Fire Strength. If that fireball targets an enemy with 50% fire resistance, it only counts the fireball as +2 Strength.

And also, you get Sheut Stones which give your units +1 Death Strength, +25% resitance to Death damage, and -10% resistance to Holy

I remember Sheut stones from previous versions(it was created on cow resource after hell terain spread), but I haven't seen it in 0.30. How can I get to Sheut stones in 0.30?

Sheut Stone comes from the transformation of Marble in Hell Terrain, but I haven't seen any Marble around lately neither.

not just a Vale, but a Veil ;)

No, it doesn't. Marble comes from the transformation of marble by hell terrain. Stone might become Sheut Stone, but stone no longer exists.
