Micro Plan

Looking at the turn tracker thread around turns 40-42 it doesn't appear to have happened. May have to ask Trystero since he did those turns.
 
Does it matter which green hill LP mines?
 
I don't think the Sirian cottage will be completed until turn 78. He'll hound had to move sooner in order to make it to the galley on turn 77.
 
Ok, editted the micro plan to match. I would have sent the galley 1NE of where it's currently sitting so that he could work for another turn, which is what the plan was assuming, but this does at least put the galley half a turn closer to start setting up Vega so it might even be better.
 
It seems I actually didn't sacrifice a turn of getting the Cottage sooner like I had thought. So Azzaman was right about the Galley apparently.
 
I'm running through the micro plan, and looking over the turn tracker thread to get myself caught up, but I'm a bit confused. I realize some changes are taking place as we play, but the plan states:

75:
* Lord Parkin moves 1E to mine green hill in Arcturus

Instead he went 1NW to mine a green hill. Where was he going to move after that? I take it toward Vega, but what was the exact plan? I am asking because he finishes the mine before Vega is founded, so he has an extra turn to move. Is he going to the pigs?
 
I thought the plan did state moving 1nw to mine the green hills for Arcturus.
 
From what I understand, 1E was when Vega was going to be the clam-clam-pig site, not the stone site. It makes sense to me to move Lord Parkin towards Vega. I haven't looked at the details of when he'd get there but the pigs seem like a good option to me if it will get them ready a couple of turns sooner. Either that or some mines for Vega to work when it grows from the pigs and clams.
 
I have updated and attached the test game save to the last turn finished (turn 83).

As before, our research rate is off in the test game, since I haven't accounted for trade routes. When we can trade maps, I will try giving the save a major overhaul.

Turn 87:
Sirius grows to size 7, works forested plains hill (+3 hammers)
hell hound finishes pasture in Vega, starts road
Alpha Centauri finishes Granary, starts worker (6 turns)
Canopus switches from a fish tile to a forested plains hill (is now working 2 forested plains hill tiles)

Turn 88:
Worker (AlphaShard) done in Arcturus, start Granary, worker moves 1W to green hill
Cottage done in Sirius, switch from forested plains hill to cottage, caveman1917 moves 1SE to cottage riverside grassland.
Canopus whips maceman for 2 pop.

Turn 89:
Canopus grows back to size 4, is now working 2 fish, FP cottage, and gold mine, overflow hammers to worker? (4 turns)
Maceman moves to Enterprise, 1E of Sirius (3 turns)
Cottage done in Alpha Centauri, HUSch moves to plains hill 1E of Canopus
Whip Granary in Arcturus for 2 pop, to size 2 (works clams and pigs)
Lord Parkin finishes road in Vega, moves 1S to mine green hill
hell hound finishes road in Vega, moves to stone tile
AlphaShard starts mining green hill in Arcturus

Turn 90:
Paper done, start researching next tech, drop slider to 0%
Arcturus starts barracks
HUSch mines plains hill in Canopus
Lord Parkin mines green hill in Vega
hell hound quarries stone in Vega

Turn 91:
Maceman boards Enterprise, leaves for Carib
Sirius grows to size 8, becomes unhealthy, works forested plains hill
Arcturus grows back to size 3, works clams, pigs, and copper mine

Turn 92:
Harbor done in Sirius (becomes healthy), start next build (Missionary for Alpha Centauri?)
Cottage done in Sirius, switch from forested plains hill to cottage, caveman1917 moves 1SW to cottage riverside grassland.

Worker done in Alpha Centauri, moves 2E to mine green hill, start next build (Maceman?)
Worker done in Canopus, move 2E to chop forested plains hill, start next build (???)

If we whip this turn, we can whip forge at 475 look at pic.
If we want that, we must play careful.
625 whip and work both mines.
600 work pig and copper
575 work pig and clam
With this we get a full granary 16/26 :food: at growing to pop 3.
Then pig and 2 mines til 500. in 500 pig copper and clam to grow to pop 4. So we can whip the forge for 2 people. After that we have to grow fast ...

If we don't whip the granary we get it with a long time to fill it.

If we get our religious there it could be better.

Turn 91 (600 BC):
Whip the caravel in Canopus for 2 pop. Work both fish
Build a forge in Arcturus. Change the tile assignments to the pigs and copper.
Sirius grows to size 8, Change new citizen to the forested plains hill 1S of Sirius
Move Iris to the galley.
Do not move the newly upgraded maceman to galley yet, since this will cause unhappiness in Sirius.

Turn 92 (575 BC):
Harbor finished in Sirius, start Archer (1 turn)
Change tile assignments in Arcturus to work the pigs and clam tiles.
Caravel dones, leaves Canopus heading 3W.
Move forge to the top of the queue in Canopus.
caveman1917 moves 1SW to cottage riverside grassland tile.

Turn 93 (550 BC):
Worker done in Alpha Centauri, start missionary(?)
New work chops other silk in AC(?)
Archer done in Sirius, start settler(?). Garrison archer.
Juno (maceman) moves to Enterprise, galley leaves with 2 macemen for Carib.
Arcturus grows to size 3, works pig, copper, and a mine.
AlphaShard finishes mine, starts road on the same tile.
 
small detail on the caravel movement -- make sure we are exploring in diaganol directions (NW or SW) in order to maximize tiles revealed. No guarantee there aren't any islands out there, after all.

With Alpha Centauri, were you thinking about chopping a missionary to head to arcturus in time for the forge whip? I think that's a good idea.
Also, i may need to ask this in the discussion thread, but what about getting a quick settler out of sirius after it grows? This can settle either on Andromeda or the last spot on the home island.

I was thinking about it for Arcturus, yes. But chopping to get it there for the forge is an excellent idea. I'll have to see if the galley is available.

That is also an excellent idea. I was going for a maceman since we'll be at the happy cap, but cranking out a settler is a good idea. I was actually thinking of that last copper/clams spot on Bode as a settlement target.
