Military "Pictionary" Game II

It's an Egyptian axe, or rather some artist's impression of an Egyptian axe. It's not a museum piece, but something you can order online. Am I right? :)

OK - what's this then?

Battle of Jutland.
Anyway, it should have been my turn. If I don't post immediately, it's because I'm at work, and don't have access to all my books.

Guess the battle, date, sides.

Bonus: one of the side had a nasty surprise there. What was it?

They all realised that they had forgot to put their underpants on that morning?

The army on the right realized that their hats were actually soup cans.

Fall of constantinople, Turks besieging the city.
And the picture is taken from Medieval Total war..

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Now, down to business.

The Battle of Khotyn, Polish-Lithuanians under Jan Sobieski, versus the Ottoman Turks, 1673.

It's probably already wrong because you said no Turks.

I'm logging off in about 20 minutes so IF I'm right, say so, and then pass my turn on to someone worthy. That is if I'm offline.

1789 being to early, we can safely guess 1673 is also to early.
And they are not Turkish, nor Polish.

I give you an hint. As I'm sick of your lack of knowledge ;) I will give the answer next friday if nobody find it before that.
I won't be home for two days, so you have time to think a bit about it.
Friday is the deadline because after that I'm going for 12 days in the US for a business trip.
