Military "Pictionary" Game II

Yes I see my error. I am having difficulty figuring out whether it is a Swiss Order whose name I cannot recall or the Knights of the Savoy since their coats of arms are almost indistinguishable before the 16th Century. But I can't recall the House of Savoy taking part in a Crusade???

If it is the order I am thinking of it is the Order of the St Maurice who is the patron saint of the House of Savoy. It was founded to protect the Duke of Savoy around the mid 1430's. But that would place the order well after the end of the ninth crusade. Of course there were crusades that took place throughout the Balkans up until the 16th Century.

Not Order of St Maurice. Not 1430, but earlier.

Albigensian Crusade, c 1216, wiping out the heretics in the south of what is now France?

It's time we get the answer.

Ok...
Shame on you all!

This is the "ordre du collier" , created in 1364, called later "ordre de l'annonciade"

Amadeus VI (January 4, 1334 - March 1, 1383), surnamed the Green Count was Count of Savoy from 1343 to 1383. Initiated a minor crusade in 1366 against the Ottoman Empire to aid his cousin, John V Palaeologus, the Byzantine Emperor.

I can translate a detailed description of the crusade (in French) if you are interested
