Minecraft

Yeah it's going to be a few more weeks.

Well, I was actually afraid they would add too much to the game, but now I'm a little disappointed actually. I assumed more would be to come. At least they didn't show us the new dungeons. Can't wait to see what we're gonna use the XP for!

So my friend has a server he runs from his home computer, and he's done the port forwarding thing and let his firewall work with it, but I still can't connect from my house. Whenever I'm on his wifi network though, it works. At my house, it just says Connecting to Server. Any suggestions of what to do?

I found a giant plain of brown mushrooms in the Nether:

I found a giant cavern once with hundreds of mushrooms everywhere, but didn't explore as it was much too dangerous with all the mobs in it. (including a cliff above where creepers and zombies would jump down from)

I did it. I went to the Farlands. I knew once I made it, this world would be largely broken, but I went on anyway. The people of the MineColony begged me not to do it, but I had to see it. Once I had hit X=3,000,000, I began to notice blocks shifting oddly as I walked, and I knew my destination was near. I traveled to x=32,000,000 Y=100 Z=100, and only got three pictures before my camera, and the world slowed to a halt.

I'm stuck here now. I know that this world will be destroyed by the Great User. I know that all the people in my village will cease to exist. But I have no regrets of this journey. Few have made it this far.

Odd question, but is the Minecraft world flat or round? ie Will I be able to walk in a straight line until I get back to start?

Flat, if you walk far enough into a straight line the world starts behaving oddly (or actually the map generator). This also referred to as the 'Farlands'. See Skwink's post.
