If it is just a matter of terrain generation there are terrain generation plugins for bukkit that make vs 1.7.3 worlds

Double tapping w to sprint is annoying. I accidentally press it all the time. Having to constantly eat is even more annoying, especially with the double tapping thing. But when endermen broke my mobtrap, that was the straw that broke the camels back. There may have been some other stuff that annoyed me, can't remember. I've been happy with 1.7.3. Haven't paid attention in a while though, so I don't know if those have been fixed.

I haven't heard anyone complain about accidentally double tapping W since it was added, it isn't hard to avoid doing or to let go of W and press it again once quickly. I agree the health system is annoying but there are ways around it and mods to ignore it. Enderman are pretty easy to deal with since not many of them spawn on lower difficulties and they avoid light areas like other mobs, mobtraps are generally huge ugly things nobody ends up using (if they work at all) anyway (except ones built around spawners).
Most of the additions far outweigh those though, especially updated versions of mods.

Back to this, according to my informant, his friend tried the "anti-ban" hacks and failed, but he may try again in the future.
Maybe it was all preposterous balderdash. Maybe not. Even if such hacks existed, I'm sure it would catch the attention of Notch and Jeb straightaway.

His server is currently down at the moment due to chunk corruption. Basically, it looks like an earthquake and parts of the world are torn, resulting in bedrock which rises to the surface.

Sounds interesting challenge, although not too different from how parts of it have always looked.
Hey, I need monster help for the Yogbot mod(MO Creatures)... there is this new mob, it just looks like some dark dude and he spits out skeletons and will make you sick with a distorted screen and little purple stars all over the place.
First, what is this things name?
Second, how do you kill it? I've been hacking at it with a stone sword in the time it took to spit out a dozen skeletons and it still isn't dead. Does it need a certain quality sword to damage?

Sorry, no. It would take me another half day just to get to it. And with my luck it would kill me as I'm reaching for the screenshot.
Are there other skeleton spewing, vision distorting, purple haze causing mobs in the game?

It's lovely but also very laggy.
