It had been a bold decision sending out the caravan - they all knew that. There was the risk of highwaymen, and the dangers the jungle could hide, and a risk of going astray.
But those were all minor hindrances - with a good guide and a couple of hired Hippus mercenaries as guards, the gamble had seemed reasonable.

The Kuriotate caravan had been headed to the newly discovered lands of the Balseraph, laden heavily with all sorts of goods, and with almost twenty men accompanying it; 15 merchants with their goods, their three Hippus guards, and the Ljosalfar guide.
Each of the four hired men had been paid handsomely, but the merchants all knew that they would themselves benefit even more, should the caravan reach it's destination... The revenue from the fine clothes, jewellery, spirits, and also more shady goods, would have made them all very rich.

All this seemed unrealistic to the eighteen men that were now staring at the dead body of the Ljosalfar guide, dumped alongside the road that very night. They could not continue through unknown lands without the guide, and none of them were certain of the road leading back to Kwythellar.
Still, turning around was their best bet...

Oh, how is 18 players a mini notw?

I know it's larger than the last one, but the 'standard' NOTWs are pulling 35+ players atm. In that comparison, 18 is 'mini', imo.

We need more people to sign up, though
