for this coming turnchat we will likely have to deal with the Babylonians, who are camping - and are in - our borders. Our armed forces are at this point far from the babylonian front as they were fighting barbarians. This is a citizen discussion to discuss what is the best way to deal with this coming threat.

There are the following reasons for the AI to "invade" forreign territories:

1. they want to attack: we have to defend us as good as possible (vet horsemen)
2. they want to explore: I'm trying to convince The People since a long time that we should trade maps
3. the want to kill barbs: we(!) should do it before the massive uprisings start; world map trading shows us, where the barb camps are

The placement (and eliteness) of the Babylonians makes me think they are barb-hunting. We should keep a defense force nearby and a quick-reactionary-force on horses, but let them pass. It's better that they die from barbs then we.

May I ask, Which direction are we going to attack? Going down to Samarra or the Bab city by Mure? Since to get to Samarra, we need to pass through the jungles and we know we dont want to waste our time going in the jungles.

Let's face it: if the Babylonians attack soon, we will not be able to defend Mure.

And IMHO we do not want to attack them anytime soon.

indeed, what I do want though is a war plan in the event, such as how the schlieffen plan was. I agree with you Rik, and in fact that is the plan i have prepared for this turnchat.
