Missing localization strings? (Many labels showing LOC_ETC_YADA_YADA)

I've been getting back in to Civ6 on my very recent iPad. It runs fairly well! But, some screens are missing all of the localized text so it is unclear what is happening. Is this a known problem? Is there a workaround? I've tried re-installing from scratch, but continued having the same problem. I don't have all the DLC, but have both R&F and GS. I tried installing on my phone as well, and have seemingly the same set of missing strings.

It’s a known bug that’s been left untouched since the last update late last year. Aspyr is aware, but they are never in any hurry unfortunately. I hope it will be fixed in the next update.
