Missing UI - given solutions don't work

Freshly downloaded and installed C2C v37, freshly installed Civ4 BTS 3.19, Windows 8.1, mod folder has correct name, everything loads without errors - but then there's only the map and the units, no further interface. What I found here so far didn't help.

Ideas?

tried "run as administrator"? (right-click on your windows icon)

Are you sure, that mod folder isn't nested, or that mod isn't in vanilla/Warlords mods folder?

Thanks for the suggestions - executing as admin actually did the trick!

Now I'm curious how long I can play without crashing
