[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Every time I play a large map, game goes fine until around turn 200. Then, every 3 or 4 turns it ctd and I get this:



I have autosave enabled, I keep 5 autosaves. I think the error occures when game tries to autosave, because the ctd comes when:


1: new turn comes
2: I try to save


This happens only with FFH. Any ideas?

I had the same problem after I got a new computer with Vista and migrated my programs, files, settings, etc. Try uninstalling and re-installing Civ 4 -- that's what I did and the clean install seems to have solved the problem.
 
To everyone working on Fall from Heaven II: I would just like to start by saying that this is an incredible game. My boyfriend and I play it together and we both love it. The world is creative and extremely well realized, and the music is wonderful. Therein lies the problem; so much of the music is really good, and I would like to be able to hear the rest of the songs and maybe find them so I can buy them or download them. Would it be possible for you guys to post a listing of the songs used in the game and who wrote them so that I can find them? I have had little success listening through Cirque du Soleil songs on Amazon.com trying to find the right album. :D Thank you very much.

I dont have Vista. Anyway my problems seem be gone, I lurked a bit in technical forums and I found http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=145238
I followed the instructions and played 25 turns without any ctd:eek:

This mod is way too good. And to think, here I was all impressed by Road to War...

Thanks for making this game! You rock. I'm gonna be losing long blocks of time with this stuff.

I think that would go against Kael's desire to avoid redundancy and not have everything be mirrored. As it is, the Mercurians and Infernals are unique in due part to that function, if it applied to every civ it would be less so, and more predictable. Plus it would make those two aforementioned ones weaker because they have no national heroes except their leaders, whereas all other civs would be running around with one national hero and one leader hero type.

First of all i would like to apologise if this is in the wrong section or the answer is on this thread somewhere. but this isn't a bug so i felt i shouldn't post there.

I have a problem with FfF2, i have just finished playing the FfH on BTS and wow its awesome, then i found out theres a number 2.

i have downloaded FFH 2 020, used the auto-installer letting it install to where it wanted. i have started BTS, gone to load a mod, BTS vanishes leaving me the desktop. then a few seconds later i get a windows error... the annoying:
windows has encountered a problem etc etc...

any help to get this working? have i done something wrong?

i have BTS and the latest patch, haven't had any problems elsewhere although i have never installed played an aftermarket mod.


any help would be great
 
FFH2 020 is still vanilla. in fact, FFH2 is vanilla up until version .24, which is BTS, and is being developed as we speak.
 
lol that would explain it then.
i just assumed that its BTS as FfH age of ice was BTS.

If i want to play this do i just just the civ4 shortcut instead ot the BTS?
 
And the vannila civ cd.

and yeah i have all originals so i won't posting BS like; `the game keeps asking for cd, but its in the drive.` or `i have the original cd but lost it, anyway to play without it.`

i don't like asking this, but how far along is the BTS version?
and before i get ranted at... yes i know a mod takes a long time to make, and it will be done whens its done. i just wanted to know progress as im sure you have posted reports but the thread 273 pages and 5453 posts!?

don't worry, the FFH community is not like that. we are among the nicest people you'll find online :)
 
ok guys im having a problem. when i get in too play fall from heaven 2. im not getting any unit tool bar or any tool bar in the single or multiplayer game. to tell units what to do or any tool bar what so ever.
