[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Is there anywhere where we can get an indepth discription of all these functions, races, spells?

the wiki seems to be gone and myself and a few friends are trying to learn this game from scratch ... (we all just bought BTS because of FFH2... love it!)

For one thing, you might want to check out the FFH II forum located here and its subforums. More appropriately, you might want to try out the (inofficial) manual by Xienwolf which does a good job of describing most (although still not all - FFH 2 is a work in progress, after all) facettes of the game pretty well.
Besides that...try out the strategy & tips subforum, I guess you might find some stuff there.
And the modmods, scenarios and maps subforum is great, too, for maps for FFH2 and mapscripts which do a better job for the mod than the standard BTS ones...

If you have tons of questions, posting a thread and asking them in the FFH2 forum might work, too. Who knows? If they are common enough, it might even result in an updated FAQ...

One minor issue...

I am noticing that even with the options set for automated workers not to remove forests, they still clear ancient forests when automated.

I thought that issue was resolved but I guess not. I never automate my workers because I don't trust them. The micromanagement can get tedious but oh well.

Playing my current game (Emporer level, locked modified assets), the Armageddon counter is ramping up and Stephanos (barbarian, STR=30) is rampaging through my lands pillaging and killing units. None of my mercenaries could attack him because of the fear trait. So I had to research divination, build an acolyte, send him to a raw mana node, build spirit mana, cast "courage" on my mercenaries, and then attack him with a large stack -- tough to do since he has 4 movement points. Finally brought him down after more than 20 turns of rampaging leaving a large swathe of devastation in his path.

And he's supposed to be the first of the four...I don't know if I want to see the other three :)

Good stuff -- lots of fun. Definitely keeps me on my toes!

And he has a great pedia entry. ;)

Actually theres a new Wiki. It is only about a month old or so but here is the site http://fallfromheaven.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

I'm near the end of my Khazad emporer game (large inland sea). Great game.

One thing I will say about Fellowship of the Leaves: it doesn't count for much when all the forests are burned down :) Not so overpowered after all when the Armageddon counter gets high and hell terrain covers the world

On the whole, impressively well balanced, yet unique. This mod alone is IMO much better than many of the stand-alone fantasy strategy RPGs --disciple, Might & Magic, etc., etc. Kudos to Kael and the mod team. :goodjob:

Again, Sanctify (the Life 1 spell) can turn Hell Terrain in surrounding tiles back to normal terrain.
As far as I know, the AI doesn't know how to do that yet, though.

I accidently traded my only Body and Death mana resource to Llosjfar(sp?) for some gold. (Wasn't paying enough attention.) Anyways after the trade was canceled, the Body and Death mana nodes reverted to raw mana. I only had one node of each.

Is this "by design"?

Dude...This game is slowly taking over my life. I swear my gpa would be a full point higher if it wasn't for ffh. Thanks Kael and the mod squad for making me gain ten pounds.

Theres a complement hidden in there somewhere

I noticed that when the Calabim (probably under Flauros) dies, a picture of Decius and his epithet is displayed instead. I noticed this in a recent game where the notice "The Calabim civilization has been destroyed" was displayed yet Decius' face and epithet came across the screen.

Decius can be a Bannor, Malakim or Calabim leader.

Nikis-Knight actually revealed that in the scenario he is only a leader of two of the three civs. He wouldn't say which 2. Assigning him to 3 different civs may have been done just to through us off.

Another strange occurance. The Mercurians cast Divine Retribution and it damaged all my units, not just the undead ones. Playing Lurchip, Berri Bawl, Good alignment, but I use Death mana. Would that have anything to do with it?

In the most recent game I started I experienced a strange occurence on turn 3 or 4: Random terrain changed into tundra... What's up with that?

An event? I've seen the obvious version where the world slowly thaws, but this?

I am using Fall Further mod, mayhap it has to do with that?

Sounds like the Sign of the Bear. This is the constellation event sacred to Mulcarn. Only one player gets the pop-up for the event, but its effects are global.

The terrain changes are only temporary.
