I guess you're still on BTS 3.17?

FF 051 needs BTS to be patched to 3.19.

Vvardenfell is the setting of TES III: Morrowind
It probably won't mean you, but here's the error message that I get when I attempt your link:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://www.filefront.com/13970071.fa.

Operation Aborted.

This is the same message that I get when I try the main link (I'm fairly certain...).

I have a question regarding some "mods" I've done and on which I have an issue. So far I've simply put up with the problem, but I'm hoping that someone (?) can tell me what might be wrong.

I've added several resources to FfH such as potatoes, salt, sulphur, coffee, etc. On the world they all show up fine -- since each has their own art folder which I copied from another "mod". HOWEVER, on the city screen, when performing trades, and in World Builder, their icon shows up as one of the "mana" buttons (such as earth, nature, etc.).

The button path for potatoes is as follows:

<Button>, ,Art/RoM_Atlas.dds,3,1</Button>
<FontButtonIndex>39</FontButtonIndex>

(Yes, Virginia, I did copy them from "Rise of Mankind" -- hence the "Rom_Atlas" name).

I DID copy the "Rom_Atlas" item from the other mods folder into the "/Assets/Art" folder so wouldn't have thought this would be a problem. Since this isn't a "text" or "xml" file (.dds extension), I really cannot look at the file to see what the problem might be (I'm not sure what tool I should use...??? There's several listed when I look at the web -- tells me it is a "DirectDraw Surface" tied to DirectX).

Thanks for any help that can be provided!!!

To unpack it there is an unpacker utility in the Utilities section of the downloads database on this site.
OK... I downloaded the unpacker utility and tried it out; however, I'm at a loss of what is going wrong. I attempted to open the "Pak0.FPK" file with it and I was informed that it could not be opened by the program... In the dropdown for file selection, it has as a default the extension ".FPK_layout" so I figured that it would work -- unless it REALLY needs to have the literal "_layout" on it.

Is this the issue or did I simply download the WRONG utility program (the process I downloaded is "PakBuild.exe")? It indicated that its purpose is to open and pack FPK files...

Thanks.

To unpack you have to open PakBuild (not the file) and either use extract or unpack (whatever it's called) and select the file in that dialog box. Won't help your problem, though. The city screen resource icons are from GameFont.tga and GameFont75.tga. Those files will have to be modified with the icons for the resources you added, in the order the resources are in the file (so if they are before the mana types you will have to move either the resources or all the mana icons in those files).

The PakBuild and icon issues are two separate items. I'm currently using two different "FPK" files to provide all the artwork that I want in my "mod" and I want to combine them into one. However, you did answer my question; I was trying to use the "Open" command to access the file rather than the other tool selection.

So far as the resource icons, what the heck is the "RoM_Atlas" file used for if it is actually using other items?

Thanks for the quick feedback!!!

I'm currently working on some changes for which I would LIKE to view images of some new units that I have downloaded from CivFanactics. I went to "Google" to see where I could download a "viewer" for NIF files and, thus far, it seems like I've entered an infinite loop... One download leads to another that leads to another...

Is there somewhere from which I can easily download something to simply view (not edit!!! I'm no freakin' artist) unit images that I've download from the net (mostly containing in "nif" and "dds" files).

Thanks to anyone who can help me out here...

I've been playing Fall from Heaven II for quite some time and just want to thank you guys for many hours of fun I've had playing it, truly fantastic job! Fall from Heaven II is better than original civ 4 bts in my opinion. :)

Be sure to get the plugins.

sry to bore with noob question:

where i can find the list of changes for the latest FFH2 patch d ?

Kael this mod just keeps getting better and better! I finally played some of the scenarios and I am currently on Decius campaign on immortal difficulty. Getting past the Sidar holy city was one hell of a fight.

OK... Definitely NOT the correct forum, but since Kael obviously knows this application since he placed the link to the "plug-ins" in the forum I'm hoping he knows the answer to this one. Besides I always get great answers from this great of people!!!

I have followed White Rabbit's "NIF Viewer" explanation and downloaded the 3DS Max program along with Kael's "plug-ins". I have loaded the "BoundShape.tga" and "BoundShape.nif" items into the folder of the unit for which I wish to display "nif" images. However, when I click on the "NIF" image it produces the following error message once the viewer comes up:

"Cannot find shader TCIV4Skinning -- Implementation -1".

I figured this must have be in the Civ4 plug-ins I downloaded and it IS there in the following folder:

"C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_3dsmax_2010_English_Trial\plugins\CivilizationIV\Shaders"

(Yes, Virginia, I am TOO CHEAP to actually buy 3ds max right from the start!!!)

Does anyone know if I needed to load the plugins beneath the "Autodesk" directory rather than the subdirectory or do I have some other problem?

Thanks!!
