[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Hmm, all the time I thought the number in your pic is "days till 0.3" obviously that's not the case...
So WHAT IS the number in your pic???

It appears to me to be the number of days to 0.3. As of right now (2:01 pm PST on November 12, 2007) it is showing a 34, which happens to be the number of days between now and December 16.

When I select the "No Settlers" option in custom game, everyone is allowed to build settlers as they would normally. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, so can someone tell me what it is?

Kael,
I'm getting a CTD running .025 with the I patch. The CTD occurs when the game is launched after selecting all the settings to play a custom game. I usually play on a huge Pangea map with 5 or 6 AI players. I can play FfH vanilla civ with no problems.

Maybe your next update will help.

Thanks

"L" is the latest patch. Make sure you are runbning BtS patch 3.13. I think you get CtD's whgere you describe if you don't have that patch.

Kael,

I didn't see patch "L" on the first page. Do you have it posted elsewhere?

Thanks

Thats an "L" in the first post, its lower case.

Someone earlier thought the latest patch was "I" i believe. Why oh why did they have to stop patching with such a vague letter.

Because patchnotes like this:

Patch "m": (will NOT break save games)
1. Just changed version for more clearity.

look quite silly :goodjob:

Ok, here is one for the cracks. When I play Civ4, FFHII (I haven't tried it on Vanilla), after some time my sound suddenly becomes all distorted. I tried playing some music on ITunes while still in Civ, the sound stays like that. Only when I end Civ the sound returns to normal. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
I recently bought an external soundcard (Trust SC-5500P 5.1 EXT. SURROUND SOUNDCARD) and a new headset (Trust HS-2200 Headset), could they be responsible?

Are the unique unit the vampire lord for the calabim working? Im unable to upgrade units of level 12 and higher to then though i supposedly meet the requirements.

Best check your directory structure first. Where is the 'Fall from Heaven 2 025' folder located. It should be directly under <Civpath>\Beyond the Sword\Mods.

OK, I've now been playing Civ 4, Fall from Heaven for several weeks and I've run into some issues that I find a little aggravating and I'm hoping that someone knows how to resolve them...

1. Upon converting raw mana nodes into real mana nodes (air, water, dimensional, etc.), I find that my workers don't particuarly care for them. I've found that I have to station someone (typically a maceman and a mage) on top of them to keep an eye on my workers to insure that they don't decide a mine or workshop is just a whole lot better than an old mana node... Does anyone know a way (like do NOT destroy existing improvements -- has to be a hot key for this, right?), other than micromanaging your workers, to keep them from destroying your mana nodes?

Of course, perhaps it isn't just mana nodes... A couple of games ago I thought my workers were going to start slugging it out. I'm building war elephants and, abruptly, I lose my ivory supply. Turns out that I have four workers industriously working on my elephant square -- two of them want to build a workshop and two of them want to build an elephant camp. Until I exiled them to another continent, I thought they were going to kill each other...

2. Shadows.... Drove me crazy!!! Another civ's shadow (nationality unknown wouldn't you know!), began killing my workers. Finally I got my own shadow out to where the other was thinking that one shadow could see another. Found out that was NOT the case. No matter what I did (like inundating the squares where their shadow should be), I couldn't stop it. Finally, rather suicidally I thought, the shadow decided to attack some of my troops. Managed to kill one of my horsemen, but upon attacking a city the shadow was FINALLY killed. OK: How the heck do you see and attack another nation's shadow?

3. The Mithril Golem? Does he really exist? Reading the Civilopedia entry on this guy, it appears as if I had all the right ingredients for creating him. I was the Luchuirp, I had founded the Runes of Kilmorph and made it my national religion (cult?), I had mithril (along with Mithril Working), I had Golem Mastery, I had a golem workshop in the city that had founded Kilmorph... I still couldn't build it...??? So, does he exist and, if so, what does it take?

I would be in the debt of anyone that can provide some suggestions or answers to the above. Thanks in advance.

I'll take a stab at this, although I certainly don't claim to be a FfH expert.

1. At the moment, the only solution to workers building over mana nodes is to not automate your workers. I think the design team is hoping to do something about this for the next version, but for now that's all you can do.

2. Don't know enough about the mechanics of shadows and invisibility to help you on this one.

3. The Mithril Golem requires an Armageddon Counter of 70 or more, so maybe that was the problem?

Hawks and the spell "sand lion" can see shadows.
