[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Every palace provides 3 resources (mostly mana, but the Infernals/Mercurians get iron in place of one of the mana, the Hippus get horses, and the Khazad gold). When one of these is enchantment, it counts as a luxury resource and will give this message.
 
I have played several games with the latest patches and have never seen a graveyard yet. What triggers them appearing?

Come to think of it, I haven't seen any lately either... could it have to do with the map script? I've been using that special one I found posted here... fantasy something...

For what it's worth, I find and get graveyards (via events) almost every game though maps appear to have more than others. I'm currently playing highlands and had quite a few of them.
 
Hey Kael and mod team, I was wondering, I have heard a few people say that there is going to be an ice sphere in the (what else but) 'ice' phase, if so what do you plan that sphere to be, more combat focused, like direct damage and or ice summons, or teraforming like transforming plots to tundra ice at sphere 3. I was looking at magistercultuums ideas (I think they might be implemented in his mod already) for the ice sphere, and if some variation of those would be used, that would be awsome, I especially like the sorcery 3 with direct ice damage then transforms the terrain using the end of winter plot change, so the tundra and ice slowly changes back to whatever it was before.

Also do you plan on adding another religon? It would finally make the dovielo feel at home if there was an ice based religon, with the priests and high priests of it being able to terraform your terrain to ice and tundra, having the religon would give your civ a bonus to those plots and make them workable (kinda like fellowship with there tree bonuses) and maybe making a new terrain feature just for that religon.

I dont know what you plans are aside from the scenarios, but if you are thinking about doing any of the following, well, WOOO!!!!!!

Also PLEASE give more lightning based units, lightning resistance is uuuuuusseeeeeleesssss. Thanks :D

EDIT-Can anyone tell me if there planning on making some of the removed spells civ specific ones? That would be friggen AWESOME. BTW for the meantime BUFF THE DOVIELO, or at least someone tell me why I would want to pick them over the clan right now with there warrens, DOUBLE units-VS-no building requirments for (I think) almost all units. Hmmmmm. Double troops anyday.

Also, I have 3 requests for unit graphics. When you play a race like orcs or elves, can nearly EVERY SINGLE unit built there look like that race, because there are a few units that dont have the races look. Also can you guys update the cannon and the Arqeubus or whatever, they are very VERY common units in the late game but they have the civ 4 graphics, and it just doesnt 'fit' in the game like all the other units,taking away the Arq*whatevers gun and doing something like a small portable handheld clay sphere with gunpowder inside and with a fuse that they would through causing a *small* but deadly explosion, and for the cannon unit, well do something like a reproportioned resized recolored trebuchet (but change the proportions like I said) with a enlarged meteor for the weapon acting like gunpowder encased in some sort of solid material with some oil to make it burn that, with force, would break open and allow the gunpowder to hit the fire which would explode, unlikely to work realisticly, yes, but damn close enough and cool concept. Third Chalid Astr***whatever has a BADASS picture in the civolopedia, but in the game..... he looks gay (in other words like an effing wimp). :( Aside from that (so far :P) awsome job.

EDIT2......-Can you also get RID of the civ 4 assasian graphic, and replace it with a recolored revelers graphic, and pimp up the shadows to please. Additionaly, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE change the republic civic, OH MY GOD I HATE it, it makes all other government civics useless especially aristocracy because the civics special unit is useless because you get them for like 20 turns then your civ gets pissed off because they dont have republic, could you instead, remove the civic anger thing if you dont have that civic, and instead just let replublic give your civ 25% culture 30% GPP and 2 happy in all cities, and 2 happy +10% culture +15% gold +1 trade route and -20% maintenance from fortresses (the one you build in your city) and +1 gold and food from town and -1 production on the space, but give you 20%+ war wariness and 15% maintenance from distance to palace (because its more unrulely the farther you are from your ruler) +1 gold support cost for all away troops when your at war. That would turn it into a good civic for keeping your citys happy while boosting great people and your borders while making citys with fortresses even better and the extra gold for town, woot, but would make it pretty crappy for wartime as it would cause you to pay more for troops at war, and the war wariness will bite you in the ass. I still think it would keep all the other civics balanced, and if I hate 1 thing in all of FFH its the city unhapiness for not having it. PLEASE KAEL AND TEAM FIX THIS DAMN CIVIC. Thats of course if everybody wants to change it...........(If anything, at the least just change it to max 2 unhappieness for not having it, but it would take like 45-60 turns to get there, and 25ish turns for 1 unhappiness in the bigger cities.)

And I have a question, whats the crime rate supposed to do, I read about it in the game but I still dont know what it does, does a high one trigger a bad event or what? Because I have NEVER EVER visably at least seen any negative effect for high crime, I have cites with +30 and +45 crime rates and nothing has happened for like 50 turns, and I have the double event option on to.

Meshabber of Dis needs to be black to match his hero picture in the civilopedia :P
 
You might want to update the first post. It is really outdated. Of course, I guess you might want to keep the stuff about sorcery and summoning spheres for .23. Maybe it would be better for the vanilla and BtS versions to have separate threads?
 
Why does Orthus appear even when barbs are off? Sailors Dirge doesn't appear, why Orthus?
 
The Sailer's Dirge never spawns anymore. It still exists, but ithasn't had a spawning mechanism since the move to BtS.

I was under the impression that the barb heroes did not spawn with the No Barbs Option. I never use it, so I don't know. You can disable these heroes (including Orthus) individually now though.
 
As to number 3, Ill probably disable gifting. It causes no end fo problems and I really dont think its used often enough to justify the issues it causes.

A suggestion, if possible, would be to make it optional I suppose. The exploit(s) is definitely a serious one, but for my own sake I only play with close friends (and as such, people I know not to use such low tactics) and completely disabling the possibility of gifting would remove a bit of flavor by hamstringing some of the options people have mentioned, such as supporting a war effort without being directly involved in it, etc.

I don't know if you can make it an option or not, but if it is possible, that might be a painless way to do it. Let the people who want it (either for the crazy exploits or other reasons) have it, and those who don't, not.

I seem to recall having read that castles (not forts, mind) would claim any resource they are built on. Is this incorrect? Or is it only citadels that do? Or none? ^.~ Maybe I just dreamed up the notion, I don't know. I do know that I played a game and assumed that to be the case, but after waiting a whole lot of turns for the damn fort to turn into a castle, it turned out that it didn't give me no dern resource anyway. And yes, it was connected via a road.

Ah well.

Ok I just thought of an idea to replace the water 2 and 3 spell. Anyone else find the water 3 to be completely useless compared to air 3, and the fact that air has MUCH better spells at sphere 1 and 2. Well I propose this.

Water 2. Rain, allows the caster to create a river at the tile there which lasts until the caster casts the spell again, which will make the river move to wherever hes currently at, the ways you could use this spell are 1 to be able to build a watermill/farm or to get that extra gold from the tile. 2 to make it harder for the opponent to attack you from that direction, as it would have the river crossing penalty.

Water 3. Part seas, (it would probably need a new tile graphic for this) would part the waters from 1 tile around the caster and would last until the caster enters land, the caster is able to move with the tiles following him, allowing your army to follow. Please someone, maybe even just a modmod think of making something like this, the water sphere is good, but so underpowered compared to the other spheres once you get past sphere 1. Maybe make the water elemental a civ specific, religon specific maybe, summon.

Hope you like the idea, I was inspired from magistercultuums ice 3 spell which has nearly the same effect, but with ice, regardless at least until ice phase comes, a spell that would let your armies cross water would be awsome.
 
this question maybe kinda noobish but how do u play the scenareos that are locked when u click the espionage screen in single player
 
Don't know. After Shadow. I don't know how many versions of Shadow there will be (.30 was the first Shadow version), but I'm pretty sure that it has been stated that the next version (.32) will still be Shadow.


Shadow will contain all the real features, while Ice is all scenarios. The team actually has started working on at least one of the Ice scenarios, but did not release it in the public versions.
 
I built a Gypsy Wagon as the Baselraph, moved it into a foreign city, but no "drain" option...what's wrong?
