Boss Tweed
Warlord
So I just got a new laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1500 series (windows 8) and I installed a few mods. My problem is that every mod I install seems to have text issues that make it harder to play the game. I've attached a picture below with an example from the MEM II mod. Note things like "Wake Transported" instead of "Wake All" or the bar on the bottom right that has all sorts of problems.
Game play doesn't seem to be affected, so no crashes, but things are all distorted. On the scenario menu to open it up instead of showing civ traits it says things like "Commercial, Flavor1" and sometimes difficulty levels aren't named right. The main screen gets shifted (so Hall of Fame is actually Scenarios). In game things get messed up (see picture, Change Production is incorrectly labeled "Hurry Production")
The preferences screen I don't know what is what, but its all mixed up. The sad part is all the functions are normal. So if I click Hurry Production it allows me to change production, etc... I wanted to know if there was a way to fix this. I've properly installed the mods, I've done install and reinstall several times and its always the same.
Thanks for any help!
PS-I'm running CivIII through steam. On my old computer I ran it through steam just fine, but on this laptop things get jumbled.
