Mod Project: Crossroads of Civilisation

Parthia and Persia? I thought they were quite the same thing in different time periods.

Similar yet different. Out of all of the civs, Parthia and Bactria were the toss ups - do I go for Kushan or Kashmir or Bactria; Khwarazm or Sacae or Parthia; etc. At the end of the day, since no one really gave much preference as to who was or was not included, I just went for geographical balance.

But both Parthia and Persia occupy the exact same geography. Their names are the variant of the same word. They are the same people, same language, same culture, same civilization. Khwarazm would have been a more flavory choice, but then I know you have limitations on religions. There are also some other "interesting" civs in your list that didn't co-exist at the same timescale. For instance; Russia didn't emerge as a civilization until a millenia after some other civs in your final list had completely disappeared.

As much as I like the idea and general structure of your mod, I'd like to see it's feet on the ground.

You could simply leave the Koreans as a Barbarian minor civ. The Korean peninsula was mostly an area that was conquered by other civilizations throughout history: the Chinese, the Mongols, the Japanese. Leaving it in as an area rich in resources and tough to conquer (but not playable) would probably be the wisest move.

for gok-turk uu: Ordu Archer? That name was used in a civ3 scenario I believe. Replacing chariot unit. This unit should show some power of organization, but how?

seljuk turks:
leader: Malek Shah
traits: spiritual and organized
leader: Alp Arslan
traits: spiritual and aggressive
uu: -to be named later- horse archer
color: greenish-blue, the color of persia in civ3
symbol: white bow and arrow on a black double-headed eagle, all on blue base

-i don't know the exact cities but some suggestions-
Rey (capital)
Isfehan
Hemadan

We'll see if Korea gets on the map in the first place though  If it appears, I'll do as you suggest :)

Ordu is simply "horde". It doesn't make sense as a name.

Do you have a picture of the symbol? And that is a good city list to begin with :) Anyway, I was doing some toying with leader traits to avoid having doubles or anything. This is what I got:

I have found the Seljuk flag on a Turkish flag manufacturer's site:

http://www.alsancakbayrak.com.tr/bayraklar.htm

Assuming you don't know Turkish, they have put the English translations of some titles. Go for "Historical Turkish States" and pick "Büyük Selçuklu İmparatorluğu".

You can see some other flags there, that you will use.
Uighurs, "Uygur Devleti"
Gök Türks, "Göktürk Devleti"
Mughalistan, "Babür İmparatorluğu"

All these states are accepted as Turkish States by the officials.

Hope to be helpful.

It is very useful. Thanks :)

This mod is not being worked on at the moment though. I'm waiting to see if the mod is going to be practical to make or not, and I'm not sure when Firaxis will be releasing the relevant information. I don't think I have the ability to actually make this mod though. I've been lurking through the C&C forum, and after looking through all that coding I released how difficult it is going to be to do even the simplest things.
